If they can get Sap on a reasonable deal I don't think he's going anywhere. I wouldn't want them to sign Sap only to trade him midway through the season that seems counter productive to me
I would imagine it would be an option not 100%
I doubt Sap would be happy staying here his last few years in league unless they give him that max contract to go with it.

Depends what the market bears for him. If Phoenix and Minny are saying no (and I'm sure they went through a variety of different contract types and contract structures) then he's gonna have to go with the best deal he can get. It might end up being a Hawks offer for less than max and fewer years
