Of course the ATL
I heard something to the effect that he was at the PC but didn't say a word and was gone shortly after.

What's the PC?

Why y'all cooled off on THJR towards the last quarter of the season he looked like a legit 2nd or 3rd option. He did have a disappointing post season tho

I feared this moment would come when Bud was made GM. Hopefully they can work it out if there actually is a problem

My concern is more long term.

1. What's his ceiling? Is he just a 14-15 ppg a night guy who doesn't do anything else besides score

2. Does he fit the new version of this team, which will be more GS model than SA's.

I don't want WOAT part 2 and Schlenk isn't gonna have two of the same types of contracts for a similar type of wing player

I like THJR, but I'm not sure he fits the new reality for what the new Hawks will look like

Hardaway is going to get paid like a starter most likely but most feel he is the ideal 6th man. He has the tools of an elite scorer, but he is extremely streaky. Those type of guys you can't count on as your starter, not to mention his suspect defense.

In the playoffs he shot 33% from 2, 26% from 3, and had 1.2 ast to 1.7 to. He shyt the bed and hopefully teams will be extra cautious of taking on a flawed player like this long term.

We signed Josh Magette to a two-way deal, he's been at the top of the G-League in APG the past few years. He was with us in training camp last year. Glad to see him get an opportunity. If he makes the squad, he's PG depth. I think we'll still go after a veteran PG to backup Schro

Right which is kinda my point. Think about it. He really only became a starter after WOAT got injured and stayed ineffective. He can light it up (like how he killed HOU in HOU Super Bowl wknd) but when a team game plans for him like WAS did in the playoffs he's average. I don't see the Hawks giving him a $15 million dollar deal unless they feel like he is a starter and capable of improving his overall game

I understand the hesitation on tim hardaway. The thing I'm impressed about is his work ethic. Every week since the season ended he has been dropping workout videos so he's still working on his game. I don't think he has peaked as a player.

This time last year bazemore stayed out the gym to keep from getting an injury. He said it himself. That ended up hurting the team when he came into the season. He should have spent the entire summer working on his handles.

Tim could easily sit back and get paid but the kid is hungry.

One of his latest highlight tape. I mean he has a 6-2 wingspan and 7-11 standing reach, yet a good defender down in the d league. May still get cut by the end of training camp.

I think the other thing I sense from the whole "should we keep THJR or not debate" is where this puts Bud because Schlenk is basically undoing the last couple years of his program

Wop=gone
Dunleavy (who Bud traded for) will be cut tomorrow
Kelly=traded for a burnt hot dog
Sap=Probably gone
WOAT=should be gone
THJR=Might be gone

That's gonna put a strain on Bud that guys he developed and brought in are being completely dismissed by Schlenk. And then Bud not really being there for the rookie press conference...I'm not saying he's gonna resign anytime soon, but I'm really interested to see how Bud approaches a roster that has little to no chance of making the playoffs next yr

Yea man I didn't think there was a possibility bud could be out. But after hearing john collins say he hasn't talked to bud yet, I'm not so sure he's happy.

You make a good point tho. We should keep tim so bud doesn't feel disconnected from the team. We can't lose everybody we develop
