Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
I bet 99% of nikkas in this thread would get worked in a pickup game of 21 against these ladies.

Put some respect.
Yall only respect the finish line never the grind.
I’m going to take this post as satirical because of the last sentence :mjlol:
More men watch and support women’s sporting endeavors than women:mjlol:
It’s some nikkas out here that can tell you off top how many Grandslams Serena/Venus won
Who can remember fondly the greatness of The Houston Comets
I could go on and on
But ask a woman a question on female sports history and watch them:whoa:
Everybody got something to say on Twitter but ain’t never watched a game in their life
Muthafukkas would have you believe all the onus is on men to save women’s sports
When it’s the complete opposite
Women just virtue signal
They really don’t give a damn about women’s sports
It just gets the puters puting and drives their narrative of being oppressed and downtrodden

They don't promote the stars.

As a kid in the 90s it seemed like Lisa Leslie and Sheryl Cooper got mainstream recognition..shyt they may have been on the Wheaties box even.

Nowadays it's like who is known ..Sue Bird and who? Candace Parker?

And to be honest women playing a game like basketball doesn't look as appealing.

I mean a woman doing crossovers and tryna look like allen iverson ain't what's up.
And alot of them have demeanor like men.
I agree with that for sure, they actually had a cultural feel with their early stars AND they weren't beating it down everyone throats how people should watch them. I feel like the stars they have now don't have no real flavor to em.

It’s not. And partly because those all still look like women. A lot of the WNBA players look like they’re transitioning.

I remember they had players crying for equal pay last year, and people were like that’s fair.

I was thinking to myself…. With what money
They were never asking for equal pay, they were asking for fair pay (and equitable accommodations). Stop changing the narrative to act like these women are retarded enough to think $20M/yr contracts are feasible in the WNBA :aicmon:

New WNBA Deal Will Bring Big Salary Increases

They need to stop dismissing and dissing men. Especially BLACK men, who are the biggest supporters.
They’ve taken some of the biggest stances in support of black men and BLM :what:

I’m pretty sure their disparaging remakes toward men have been toward those men who dismiss them and their game and basically have the feelings about it thecoli had for most of its existence - the $5 or WNBA championship thread comes to mind as a prime example of unwarranted shytting on them

A lot of it has to do with college hoops being way more popular in the 90’s + the ABA and WNBA were founded after the 96 Olympics which was one of the most popular, star studded, pop culture friendly women’s teams ever (Lisa Leslie was also acting - cameos in every black sitcom - and modeling), people were excited to see those stars, and the novelty of a pro women’s league, in those early years.

But the difference still remains that the WNBA has financial backing and advertising from the NBA. They could at least have a few profitable seasons
What does nba backing have to do with profitability? A lot of restaurants are backed by celebrities or celebrities chefs and fail…if you aren’t bringing in more revenue than the cost of doing business, you won’t have profit no matter who is footing the bill.

that's why i said lower the rim. Youd get a lot more feminine looking athletes that way. The problem would solve itself.

no you wouldn't...women's hoop attracts who it attracts. women of all heights play bball at the middle/high school level and even then there is a much higher proportion of lesbian/masculine chicks. furthermore, at the pro/college level, avg women's hooper is 5'11"/6', women's volleyball avg height is 5'10"-6' (a lot of 6'+ women in vball)...both are sports geared toward attracting taller women, yet you don't generally have the same proportion of masculine-presenting women in volleyball. women's sports in general attract more tomboys, but women's hoop has a whole other culture.
