ironman because it was very wu sounding. if he never made ironman everyone would always be talking about how ghost would've been better if he did an album with all rza production(tical, liquid swordz, ob4cl)

also love this as a companion piece to ob4cl. linx was definitely harder and my favorite wu solo album but ironman is a close second. all that i've got is you is pretty much the back story to the reason ghost's career is based on guns, throwing cats in wheelchairs or the why he felt the need to smoke black dust and make moves out of state. this dude's life was miserable so it's not hard to see why he's willing to dirt to grow like a plant, son.

Not a huge fan of SC, gotta ride with Ironman.

So many joints from that album put me in a time machine man.

fukk that, donna dropped one of the best verses of all time IMO.
I didn't want to go there to sound like/be criticized as a Stan but you're right

Supreme Clientele by far.

Ironman to me is a second-rate Cuban Linx. Very dope for what it is, but Clientele is special. There's no Wu album like it.

:what:

the fukk does that even mean? Heads prefer whichever album they prefer. There isn't a right or wrong answer here.

i dapped you at first bro, but had to remove because of that 'second rate linx' shot. just being honest.

being second rate to linx is like saying a £95 sandwich is second rate to a £100 sandwich

id think of a better analogy but im high and tired, you get me though. If you actually went track for track ironman vs supreme i reckon ironman could take a large amount of wins. I do agree that supreme is special though, as i said earlier that album has magic about it, and yeah agree, there no wu album like it.

Ironman, both classics though.

When i heard Raekwon on his OB4CL flow on 'Iron Maiden' & the funky production...i didn't even need to hear a Ghost verse knowing this album was going to be special :banderas:

The unadulterated irony of this f@ggot making that statement :russ:

more like £70 to £100 sandwich but I get your point. Both are great albums. No one would ever listen to Ironman and go "yeah that was just aight."

Sure. but how many of those wins are from hip hop elitists who wanna act like Ironman is the holy grail on some "I was on Ghostface before you" type shyt? 9th Wonder even alluded to that sentiment. There are hip hop heads out there that actually prefer the Canadian version of Supreme Clientele simply because it's rare and "no one else got these shyts." look up Rob Markman, the MTV guy. Which is cute but a little silly. It's aight if it warms your heart, but when we're talking objectively about what's a better album, that shyt doesn't fly.

Ironman is different enough from Cuban Linx to stand on its own but it still feels like Cuban Linx 2 in atmosphere. Darker and more abstract, actually. Which is kinda weird. Considering how much more joyous Supreme Clientele is, and they're recorded within close years of each other. Ghost sounds miserable on Ironman.

Anyway, I don't think Ghost came into his own until Supreme Clientele. Prior to SC, he was a 2nd rate Raekwon. I say '2nd rate' not as a massive drop in quality, but they were so similar in style and the type of music they rhymed on.

I respect Ironman but I haven't bumped that shyt in full in several years. and never will to be honest. Some dull tracks on that shyt (e.g. Black Jesus and After the Smoke is Clear). The stuff that's fire is supreme fire (Daytona 500, Fish) but some of the other stuff is good Wu material but not "out of this world" brilliant.

Just SirBiatch's opinion before some of you posters start crying like bytches (no "Sir").

Your first point, I can see it..dont think ive ever come across that attitude personally online or offline though, not in relation to two classics anyway.

Good point about ghost coming into his own, it crossed my mind when watching that wu tang docu (i only watched it last year) that ghost probably benefited creatively the most from wus success as he was able to evolve and incorporate all the experiences, success, plush lifestyle etc etc with the gutter shyt and mould it into the abstract beauty of SC.

black jesus is amazin though
