Maybe they are, but this the pattern i've seen since high school and now my 20's. Attractive black women only go for athletes or pretty boys, and when they wanna "settle down" men with lots of money.

Most are not single moms, the most overweight demographic in the US is NOT blk women...it's Latinos, we got hair, and we're the most educated demographic in the nation, and oddly enuff despite media clowning, studies show that blk women are actually not anymore single than other races of women. By 35, blk women are married and some marry at higher rates than other groups in many states.
Also reported health data has been skewed because blk women are screened 3 times more for STDs and data is overreported in comparison to other races.
But you never know any of this if you don't interact with ur own people and u only believe what u hear online.
I know quite a few blk male myths that a ignant chicks spout off about too.

I think there is truth to this assertion. What else explains why black women value rank average black men as Untouchables and Average-Anything-Else as higher than that? But maybe it's deeper than that. Maybe rank average black men are seen as less as a function of their being less. After all, isn't an average black man poorer than another man (not necessarily his fault his ancestors were slaves and he was born into being a disenfranchised minority, but do women really care about all that)? Isn't he seen as less by other parts of society? Maybe black women just internalize what the rest of society thinks. An average black man is seen in many circles as less than an average white man (maybe not physically but in other ways). Maybe black women internalize and project this black male inferiority complex.
If you mean how many white women who were with their white husbands when they were down and out, then you have a point.
I don't know any white women who were with black men when they were down and out struggling to make it to the top, they usually slide in when dude is almost to the top. And that is simple demographics. Blacks and whites typically don't live in the same communities in large numbers, so if a black man is down and out struggling to make it he is more likely to be with a black woman.
