There is no difference :heh:.

That just goes to show you how much mainstream rap music has brainwashed you.

The only difference between the two words is they're pronounced.

Black people tend to pronounce things ending with a "a".

-Brotha
-Sista
-Momma
-nikka

The list goes on.
Yeah man, nikkas need to pronounce it Mommer like its supposed to be

You say there's no "racial component" but with that word, that's impossible. You're Black (I assume) and that's all the component that's needed. Can a White person refer to and old Black man as "That old nikka" and have no one think about any racial context? Black folk think it's a "house rules" understanding however it's nowhere near that. Then add the horribly silly concept of "passes" and it spirals out of control. My thing is that there are a myriad of words that we can use in that word's stead.

u really think nikkaz know what myriad means? :skip:

Exactly!

I'm sure when house negroes were talking to the "massa" about field negroes he was saying "n!gga" and it wasnt endearing.

Mofos today have no discipline to stop calling each other the very same word they are so offended by so they make up some BS like it's a different word. It's the same damn word. You just use it as a "term of endearment" (so you say). But i wonder how "endearing" it is when DMX spits verses like "Bust off caps in 4 nikkas/laid low for 'bout a month then killed two more n!ggas/" :rudy:

I personally dont use the word because it makes no sense to me to be offended by it and then turn around and use it when describing a friend.

There is no difference, lol.

I'm black but when i'm referring to someone as a nikka i'm talking about a ignorant/lazy ass black person.

My grandmother used to call my uncle a nikka when he younger because he would go outside sagging his pants while hanging out with hoodlums.

I'm leaving for college soon, i can't go out here sounding like some urban youth who just stated listening to rap music :heh:.

I cringe anytime i hear a grown man speaking like that.

As a nikka who says nikka a lot, I always cringe when nikkas talk that "term of endearment" shyt.

It's not a term of endearment, it is just a word used to describe a black person. It has neither negative nor positive connotations, on its own.

******, on the other hand, is a racist term and those who use it know EXACTLY what they're doing.

I allow neither to be uttered by non-blacks in my presence.
