Will we protest the NFL if Colin Kaepernick gets blackballed?

The NFL would have to do much worse than that for me to stop watching. Kaep will be ok, y'all worry too much about millionaires

I don't understand this kind of viewpoint? It's not about Kap and never was about Kap for me. It's about the NFL and essentially condoning the mistreatment of blacks who represent not only a large part of their viewing audience but their employees as well. With their actions or lack thereof, not only are they saying they don't give a shyt about black issues, but they will punish those who take a stand as well. Remember, this is a league that takes "stands" against other things, but oppression certainly isn't something they're interested in.

I have a problem with that and you don't have to but to say they need to do much worse? How much worse do they need to be? I won't even get into fukking over retired atheletes and the concussion cover up.

You are hooked onto the entertainment factor and it will take really nothing for you to pull away. That's fine and the NFL knows it so they will do wha they want to do cuz they know people will eat it up.

What I get from all of this is standing for the anthem > black opression and the NFL pretty much condones that. Trump is in office and he ran the most racist, xenophobic campaign imaginable. Most owners are hardcore republicans. Doesn't take much to connect the dots.

TYRONE GA!
It fukkin disgusts me that they are more upset over taking a knee during the national anthem than the very thing he was protesting about.

You bring that part up and it always starts with "BUT". Nah, there is no BUT when it comes to police brutality and social injustice. The whole "he could have done it a better way" crowd is fulla shyt too since that was the same argument used against MLK and others.

The truth is the taking a knee against the flag is easier to deflect the argument to instead of talkin about what he's protesting. They don't want to have that discussion.

These cats in the league should also speak up, but they won't. The white power structure in this country who actually has the ability to do something about the injustices and inequality Kaep was speaking of don't care about us. Just shutup and play. They've shown this shyt time and time again. Justice for all my ass. :camby:

I got my degree in history so I've studied this stuff for ages. It's astonishing. The people who claim they love freedom the loudest always behave in a manner directly opposed to any forms of freedom they disagree with or behavior they personally don't like, and it's been this way at least since the civil rights movements and the Vietnam war protests if not further. Use what freedoms you do have to try to help people or shine a light on injustice and apparently you're unamerican and hate freedom so you should go live in a place like North Korea or Iraq. During Vietnam is when we adopted the love it or leave it slogan and I'm pretty sure we took it from a military dictatorship. Half this country legit doesn't know they actually support fascism over a democracy.

Edit: did some digging and couldn't find us taking it from another country but as mentioned it was explicitly intended to be pro-Vietnam even though it was a conflict the nation had no good reason to join.

If Kaep was a great qb do you honestly think no one would sigb him? I'm not saying he shouldn't be signed, he can be a solid backup in a league that puts a premium on them. But let's not act like this dude is amazing and not signing him is a huge mistake for most teams. He's a distraction and I get why a team would look elsewhere.

If the NFL was so bad and racist, why would Colin want to continue playing in it for a racist team? He's not broke or struggling. He can retire and put in more work.
