Well, the former officer that Will was at dinner with was the former Commander of the NOPD, it's not been clarified if this officer was the man responsible for shooting the suspect's father. The former commander was named in the lawsuit but that may have been b/c he was in a leadership position and trained/commanded the officer(s) responsible for shooting the suspect's father, they haven't clarified if he was the person that pulled the trigger.
