Which is exactly why studios were afraid of TV way back in the day when TV first started; they thought it would take away from the amount of people who'd go to the movies along with the penchant of those just coming home from WW2 and their desire to make babies lol. It took a while, a long while, but we may finally be at that point
The Sopranos is under appreciated as a starting point for a culture change.

Stopped reading the article after he called Edge of Tomorrow A decently reviewed failure. The author of that article did not do his homework thoroughly, Edge of Tomorrow was a financial success.

Breh again, the articles are written from the perspective of american box office. Hate to say it but most american writers aren't worried about the overseas box office unless it adds to an already lucrative american run. When a film with a production budget of 178 only grosses 100 in america, that's what the writers and studios look at. It may be backwards, it may be primitive, but that's what it is:whoknows:

so, will is on the decline cause he only got $19 mil as the num 1 movie in america in a non easy money grab type movie (action, based off some controversy, book, sequel, comic, etc.), that's looking like it will be profitable?...lol wow....that's a hell of a standard he's set for himself, that's what i'm talking about...more power to the brotha...i'll do my part and go see this to help make sure his star still got some shine....

This is a straight fluff article

People acting like Focus is a blockbuster production when it has the lowest budget Wills had since like Seven Pounds(50 million)

Thats nothing, its probably gonna atleast triple that.

Will just needs some cool role like a World War Z or somthing and they'll be back on his dikk

Will is a clown though, Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio out here with their companies having bidding wars for World War Z and Wolf of Wallstreet

Will out here producing Annie :scust:

i agree with what you said except the bolded.....nothing wrong with prodcuing annie...and the fact he made the leads (annie and warbucks) black, makes it even better.....anyway, there is room for all kinds of movies...

i loved those nba on nbc triple headers back in the day..but nowadays i get mad if there' s a game on a sunday like "I need to watch my shows :sadcam:"

Will Smith should just do a Marvel superhero movie. Hollywood changes often and you have to adapt to stay relevant. I don't read comic books but I'm sure there's a black super hero Will can play as.

during the studio system breh. where stars were forced to do whatever the studio wanted.

@Cobratron pointed out the way studios used to work during the 90s..for example: Sleepless in Seattle and You've got Mail. Basically the same damn movie with the same two actors but because those two actors were tom cruise and meg ryan, you've got mail was still a hit movie even though it was damn near the same exact movie.

Tom Cruise was in Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail?:ohhh:

The movie was resoundingly terrible, it was basically 3 scenes. The dude gambles . . loses, loses, loses wins . . takes the money gives girl her cut then leaves . .3 years later he meets up with her when she happens to be dating the guy he gets a job with. The whole movie was terrible on every level
