I tapped out after an hour. It was plodding, predictable, gloomy Oscar bait.

I’ll try to give it another shot, but this movie probably works better in theaters than at-home streaming.

Not enough dialogue, and the cinematography is too dark to keep your attention when you’re at home. You can probably turn the lights off to counter the darkness, but then you’ll probably be fighting to keep your eyes open. :beli:

Halfway done but it feels like a Will Smith version of "the Fugitive". Mixed with his action-adventure stuff. Set during slavery time.

I really can’t believe will smith of all people is doing a slave movie lol
I really feel like he's self deluded enough to think this was the type of movie he needed to redeem himself with after his persecution from hollywood. A little too on the nose for someone suffering from main character syndrome Will :pachaha:
