Mayweather already has... GET MAD
Nah

HW is what brings it...the world needs that to happen. We will probably NEVER see another Mike Tyson though, those 1st round knockouts are only going to come from some angry kid growing up in the ghettos wanting to kill people (Which tyson admitted he did when he was young)

tyson was different from every other legendary champion in boxing other than jack dempsey because he could knock people out so devastatingly fight after fight. it created an aura of perfection and invincibility. jack dempsey said in his book about boxing technique that the only reason the common man wanted to watch boxing was the phenomena of the knock out.

the heavyweight division is a good division for that because heavyweights are much larger and it takes much more energy to move around a large body. my theory is that a heavyweight doesnt punch much harder than any other fighter from any other division but because they are so large they have much worse reaction times and reflexes and they are therefore much more likely to get hit flush than a smaller and quicker fighter. unlike smaller and quicker fighters heavyweights get tired much quicker because they are so large and heavy. this makes their reaction times and reflexes even worse and therefore their ability to take a punch much worse. i think one of the biggest secrets of boxing is that heavyweights actually have really really bad chins.

i think mike tyson exposed this because, as a smaller and quicker heavyweight, he was able to exploit the much weaker reaction times and reflxes innate to the fighters of this weight division.

so if i a fighter is going to transcend the sport again i think he will have to 1. be able to knock people out in a devastating way to capture the public imagination and 2. feast on a steady supply big and slow heavyweights
Work on a new theory

if you watch heavyweights in the gym hit the bag, a big bag about 200 or more pounds, it will have a little jump on contact. you have to see it to know what i mean but it will do a little jump and you dont see that with smaller fighters on the bag for them the bag reacts more smoothly. i think that happens because they are so heavy that the bag is reacting to the weight in a different way. thats one of the only differences ive noticed that heavyweights have more of a heavy handedness. but i dont think the gap of power is that big. if youve ever seen a middleweight kill a bag it would change your mind on the nature of punching power. mike tyson said that he felt tommy hearns had the power to ko heavyweights with his straight right hand.

You do know there are different weight heavy bags, please dont embarrass yourself further regarding your stupid ass assumption

i think the smaller bags are a waste of time they move too much if you know how to punch and will swing a little too wild. the big bags are about 200 and up most guys cant make them swing but a few can if they know what theyre doing. you want the bag to have a little swing so you can move around with it and have it react back

Same level. Both are the biggest things in boxing today. Love/hate them it don't matter.

Lennox Lewis was loved but he was not on tysons level..... nah.

No.

If pac has then mayweather has too. I don't think either of them have.

Naw, Mayweather hasnt. Pacquiao has though. Thats why Pacquaio is in position to run for President in Phillipines, sell a million plus PPV buys in the US and Mayweather is serving 90 day jail sentences for punching, kicking, and abusing the mother of his children while theyre watching, lying about his Guerrero PPV #s, and fighting popular Mexicans on Mexican holidays to feed off of their fanbase. #factsonly

So? Mayweather has higher PPV numbers than ALI- does that mean hes better than The Greatest? Didnt think so...
I never said that he was, but you throwing that as some sort of edge over Mayweather is a problem.

Mayweather sells the most PPV and is the biggest name in boxing.

Ummm, YOU threw out PPV #s as some sort of edge for Mayweather over Pac. But Pacs greatness is much deeper than PPV sales, as was ALIs. Mayweather is just this generations version of Rocky Marciano. Dont worry, history wont be kind with him.

Thats deep right? I strongly believe it man. It hit me last week. Interesting point too-Marciano has always been ostracized from the upper pantheons of greatness for retiring before facing Cassius Clay, similar to how Mayweather is trynna exit without facing Pacquiao or Broner, whos deemed (whether right or wrong) as his heir apparent.

dont got shyt to do with the topic

Cats always bring up PPV numbers when trynna say Mayweather is great. Is Jay-Z great cuz of his record sales? Or what he does in the booth? Smh
