Its funny.. I'm at target sitting in my car until the store open to cop a wii u for my son... Said it's the only ly thing he wants for christmas so i dont mind buying one thing and a few clothes for him... Makes my Christmas shopping easy

The Wii is in the 7th generation consoles with the Xbox 360 and PS3. Need further proof? Why do Kinect and Move both exist both having come out several years after their respective consoles were introduced? Wonder what inspired "HD consoles" moving in a motion control direction....Wii isn't a hd console
This isn't true at all.
idgaf what generation it is, The Wii isn't a hd console and shouldnt be compared with the other HD consoles. the WII u competes with the 360 and ps3 you will figure that out once certain game engines no longer support the WII u in the future.

So the wii went against the PS2 and Xbox?
i'm talking about facts and you're giving out opinions. when i go in a retail store the Nintendo section is right there next to the Microsoft and Sony section. that's why it gets compared. it was more popular than all those other consoles and outsold them all. the 360 was released before the Wii and the Wii still ultimately caught up with and passed it in sales and as it stands now the 360 has zero real chance of catching back up before the generation officially ends for it.

Nintendo could start selling $5 gameboys and outsell everything, you still gonna say the gameboy won this gen even though it doesn't affect the sales of 3ds or vita?
Name 1 Xbox or ps3 game you didn't get because of a wii game? You can't answer that question, you don't have an argument...
Why they did it? The real question is HOW they did it. Why does apple and android steal ideas from each other? Why does the wii have online at all? The wii was a fine gimmick, and all Xbox had to do was come out with an add on that made wii obsolete
Name a single add-on in console history that didn't fail? It's name, Kinect. Yet the majority of gamers (yourself included) haven't even warmed warmed up to what has killed the wii. But you wanna then turn around and say the wii is a success? Not as a system battling during this "7th gen" but as a gimmick. Kinect the add on has sold more units than the wii since it was released. Lets stop acting full retard here...
The wii is basically a GameCube with a new controller. I'm not saying that to be funny, it literally is a GameCube with a slim upgrade. Like there is the GameCube, then the GameCube 3gs aka wii
It didn't cost them much to make cuz of this, they could of sold them for cheap, but the sheep are not gonna sleep so peep...
Now we got the wii-u, guess how powerful that is? Similar to the 6yr old Xbox 360, weaker in fact. The games for the system are current gen games with wii-u controller support. Basically what I'm saying is this, the wii-u is competing with the Xbox 360 & ps3, not the x720 & ps4

I agree... The wii did not win this gen.. The xbox has the most momentum heading into the REAL next gen and they are currently selling the most while actually providing the games people want... Unlike the Wii.
