i have to admit, as a nintendo fanboy, i just dont care about this system, the controller, or the launch titles. the only thing that will get me to buy is seeing how the software looks a year from now when the bar is raised. right now the devs are not familiar with the system, nintendo has done a poor job of giving them full access to all of the features, and the launch appears to have been prematurely sped up to cover up for the wii's steep decline.
nintendo has been rushing hardware lately. the 3DS was rushed as well, it should have had a true second directional control instead of that stupid add-on. i also think the wii-u is over priced like the 3DS. still, none of these problems are insurmountable. they got the 3DS down to a competitive price and now it is making the vita sales look ridiculous. if the wii-u gets its stuff together, it could be a popular console for niche titles from developers that cant afford what will be the new standard for AAA budgets when 720 and PS4 come out. i wouldnt be surprised if atlus, xseed, etc. end up flocking to it, if the best case scenario works out. worst case is this thing ends up doing worse than wii which is a real possibility given the price and the fact that the casuals have moved on.
