I can guarantee you ive played more nintendo games than you.

Minish cap was a damn handheld game.

Im talking the main console zelda series.

And ive played and beaten every single zelda game including the handheld ones. (Not including the the Phillips cd ones)

Same goes for the mario, metroid, fox, kirby, and donkey kong series.

I play still cause im a real fan and love the characters but I grew up and evolved, nintendo needs to do the same

Does anyone really believe this trash? I'm sure Mario number 372 is a lot of fun, and Zelda 54 part 2 HD remake is a blast, but would you really want to play these games over. BF4, 2k, Forza, killzone,ect.

I know I wouldn't.

Seems like reviewers just like to repeat each other like any other Internet forum warriors. I'm sure Mario is fun, but there definitely is nothing groundbreaking about the game. Plenty of X1/PS4 games lost a lot of points for not being groundbreaking yet Mario is praised for it.

Mario stays changing the game tho, I mean I don't fukk with the series anymore but they know damn sure how to keep that series from getting stale

The 3D mario games are the only ones worth checking for. The 2D joints are beyond stale at this point as they just keep recycling the same art style and gameplay. Zelda is wack now and so is Metroid. I gave Zelda the benefit of the doubt after that garbage ass Twilight Princess and they dropped another snoozefest with Skyward Sword.....im done with that series.

If i had kids i would cop one just to have something to play with them but i cant see my grown ass playing Nintendoland by myself.

I guess we have different definitions of "raise the bar" the best game getting better raises the bar in my opinion

The only next-gen game that has made an impression on me that it's actually "raising the bar" and pushing a next-generation console gaming experience would be Forza with the Drivatars, but I haven't played that to see how well it works with my own eyes, the idea is sound though. Everything else is more or less improved versions of games we've played on PS360/PC. Not that it's a bad thing, a good game getting better is always great, but hardly a barometer for "raising the bar". If it's not pushing something that makes other games want to step their shyt up, it's not raising the bar. Call of Duty 2/4 raised the bar IMO and that's been a good and bad thing.

Nintendo has this media perception of them being super futuristic masterful 10000% innovative game-changers when they aren't, but I understand why people think they they are. Their first-party games always seem to have been on point because they've managed to recreate them and give new ways to play the same formula. I'd argue that Pokemon X and Y going 3D and having awesome online capabilities was a much bigger jump for it's franchise than 2k14. NSMB took a classic 2-d sidescroller Mario formula and reinvented it by adding co-op and introducing new power-ups that gave the level designs new direction. The Zelda games have constantly introduced mechanics that change the way they create their puzzles(and we all know the puzzles and exploration/dungeons are the bread and butter of Zelda), while the action in all of the aforementioned games admittedly haven't changed much over the years. Nintendo's advancements always been double-edged sword to me.

Nintendo not putting out the flashiest games but they still have a great amount of substance in their exclusive games. The home consoles just don't win people over when it's all said and done. I'd play SM3DW on any of the consoles I have now without hesitation, but I know I won't play much else on the Wii/U.

I agree right now, the Wii U has a much more interesting library of games as of right now that I want to play compared to what's out on the PS4/Xbox 1 RIGHT NOW. That Mario 3D world looks so fun and actually looks like it will set precedence for forthcoming platformers.
Battlefield 4 lets be real is simply an expansion of BF3. It feels like a tweaked BF3 with new maps. KZ same thing likewise with Forza. Also no one is saying SKIP a Xbox/PS4 for a Wii U, just that it's great to have a Wii U right now especially as it seems to be on a verge of releasing classics in short waits between games.

Hell right now the 3DS' library is looking quite stellar.

It depends on how you want to define "expansion". Not angry about anything. If Mario 3D world is "innovative" for being an expansion of its predecessors, then so are games like BF4, 2k, AC3, ect
