I hope you didn't shame your child for touching his self because that is normal. You shouldn't have told him to do it only by his self and only in private. As for being "exposed" all kids are to an extent. Even if its just seeing their parents show each other affection.

Sex isn't learned behavior, it's natural like eating or taking a shyt.

Are these studies taking into account a parents neglect. I know people who don't shield their kids from R rated films and blast x rated music to and from the ride to school. Them being curious is different than someone who shields from that entertainment.

To the second part. I have heard of babies stimulating their self in the womb.

But at the same time I'm not letting my kids see me have sex or watch it. Their gonna be exposed to some stuff regardless so that's why I step my game up even more, knowing I can't shield everthing.
