Besides his drug addictions when was Kurt ever seen as a bad influence?

Dude supported women's rights, hated homophobes and racists.

Grunge is interesting the big "grunge" bands were so sonically different.

Nirvana- More punk influence
Pearl Jam- More rock orientated
Alice in Chains- Heavy metal
Yeah grunge was pretty much just a trendy media label to categorize all of the raggedy looking bands from Seattle lol.

Yes. I see it as well.

Its ironic because Kurt was a terrible person leading up to his death. He beat his girlfriend and tortured her, would abuse his parents and members of Pearl Jam, not show up for shows, was pushing to go solo as an artist, abused every substance known to man.

Imagine if his life was chronicled online like X's was. Imagine the tweets Kurt wouldve sent out while on his countless binges.

Go read up on Kurt before commenting about X.

As far as star appeal and impact - Kobain was an icon while he was alive while X is finally getting his dues after hes dead.

Additionally, alot of these fake hip-hop purists on here and in the world dont want to grant X his dues because they consider him a "mumble rapper"
ive never heard this before and i went through a big nirvana phase when i was younger. whats your source?
i also dont see why him wanting to be a solo artist is bad

When you have to resort to such blatant :duck:maybe it's time to call it quits on the comparison

:wtf:

I've never heard any stories of Kurt beating on courtney or any chicks.

Also he was outspoken and cynical..but he got along with Pearl Jam and Eddie vedder...he didn't agree that songs with long guitar solos should be classified as alt rock...musically he wasn't a big fan of them.....he leaned back by the time In Utero came out as he realized both bands have the same fanbase and no need to say shyt to get the media spinning...that was in a youtube clip.

And Nirvana's last TV performance was actually them filling in for Pearl Jam after they had some flight trouble and couldn't make it to MTV's year-end special.

Its gonna take years for XXX to get his credit, but the kid is a legend wether you like it or not :yeshrug:

Can’t tell the story of rap without XXXTENTACTION

didn't like him when he dropped. most for his weird comments on his identity and blackness along with his try hard feel. i've forgiven nikkas for worse and did when Sad! dropped. didn't like much from him till that point. Then he died and that hit me.

Your comment is proof he wasnt this generations Kurt Cobain. Kurt Cobain got his credit immediately after he died.....It didnt take no few years. The closest Hip Hop was to a Kurt Cobain was 2pac.
