  1. He was misunderstood by the media constantly as a person who was a bad influence among teens, like Kurt Cobain with his grunge music back in the 90's.

  2. He was a different lyricist. Like Kurt, X writes about some very emotional stuff unlike his rapper counterparts, but also knows how to write things that lift people's spirits and gets them turnt up. Kind of like Kurt Cobain writing style that was the opposite of his Rock/Alternative/Grudge counterparts. This is giving music to two different kinds of demographics. (X with "I Don't Wanna Do This Anymore" and "Look At Me!" and Kurt with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Heart-Shaped Box")

  3. Both had a very depressing past. With family and relationships. (X with being sent to jail under domestic abuse for hurting his girlfriend and Kurt with his stressful relationship with Courtney Love)

  4. They both have taken two genres of music and have combined them to later become the frontman of a new genre. X combined Rock with Rap/Hip Hop while Kurt combined Emo with Alternative and Rock to lead a a new genre of grunge music. Like Kurt, X is starting to influence many artists to join his style of music.

  5. Although both have so much money, power, and fame, there are deep thoughts that are racking and eating their brain alive that lead them to a deep depression and suicidal thoughts because the pressure from the media, relationships, family, and always trying to impress people with their music.

You never heard of The Melvins, Black Flag, or Half Japanese.

don't test breh.
In either case you're wrong

Uzi was doing what X did before X

To even be as general as saying X combined rock with rap:dahell: tried to skirt that one by

Man fukk out of here.

Contain actually had talent and played a big role in the grunge movement. He was even against the fact his band was getting big.

Xxx is some fukking fakkit like young thug and lil uzi with no talent just like tekashi.

Idk which ere of hip hop is bad, this one or that snap shyt from Atlanta.

I swear I thought hip hop was going in the right direction with Kendrick and his whole crew, Cole, Joey but then out of nowhere these homo rappers pop out.

Statement: I have only heard about 4 songs from xxx but i can say from those 4 songs he was incredibly talented. While cobain was a more established star before death, xxx was coming up and anytime people gather like THAT to celebrate your life, you legend status to a certain group of people. Taking a definitive stance to say he wasnt , using hip hop legends for reference, isnt accepting that our era has moved on. Update yall firmware.

Question: who are these so called rappers people compare to him? I honestly dont stay up on these youngins but i caught different vibes from x then i catch from the other “cloud” rappers and the ilk.

The whole rockstar, drug, money, death wish thing big wit lots of rappers today; but with xxx I could FEEL what he was saying just the way he said it. Gave me dmx vibes of a broken man, i wish i was good, prayer to god for one track, rape on the next. You can just feel the conflict in his music.

This is :ahh:

You know
using hip hop legends for reference,

It's his fans who are referencing hip hop legends! They would not just let him be great on his own without dragging someone elses name into the conversation.

It's a habit for many younger millennials and Generations Z'

1) Nobody thought Kurt was a bad influence despite him being a POS and a dope addict. People were praising him for getting rid of Pop metal

2) Cobain was a horrible lyricist and guitar player so they have that in common

3) Kurt didn’t have a difficult past. His parents got divorced. That’s it

4) Soundgarden sonic youth, and screaming trees were making the same type of music and at a better quality. Same can be said of Kid Cudi who was blending alt sounds and rap long before these wack SoundCloud artist. None of them were innovative in anything. Nirvana was just more mainstream accessible

5) XXX was a poser and fake. Nothing about his emo suicidal garbage songs scream authentic
