They have been indoctrinated as kids and to show them another way causes them to be uncomfortable and also question if they been unintentionally lied to by the ones they love. Where do you live? Most atheist that live anywhere in my location are extremely low-key but the religious people are very vocal about their beliefs and how everyone but them are going to hell
