Was there a sidewalk or just grass.

If he had been on a bike on sidewalk or grass would that have made a difference.

Not that it necessarily matters? Except that a sidewalk is typically safer.

Definitely overkill on the arrest piece.
Someone thought they were doing good, but turned out they created cascading shiit...

She fighting not just for herself but other parents. I guarantee she gets funded.

Safety vs Common Sense Parenting.
Is 10 years old to young to walk on a road? On a neighborhood street? In the morning? In during rush hour? and how far can they leave their house, 1 block? 5 blocks? Etc. It's starts to legally burdensome and arbitrary.
whatever you had to do to get the house or school. we walked thru the grass thru, the neighbor's yard, thru the woods behind the school, over the creek, whatever it took to get to the house.

there was a road at the end of the woods behind the school that led to a road that was a straight shot to the house, still had to cross the creek but it wasn't much. the creek was the only thing that split the road .

A mile isn’t even that far :gucci:

Me and my boys used to walk to our middle school every morning and it was like 2 miles from our neighborhood. We even went to McDonald’s and got breakfast. At like 11 years old

Them days of the latch key kids are over :francis:

This is a myth though. The United States used to be far more dangerous for children.
this continue the trend of people not trusting DATA and believing that their anecdotal evidence is more valid.

i agree with you, its way safer to be a kid now than ever before, outside of a school shooting obviously.

24 hour news and social media got y'all moving like bytches when every other statistic shows the opposite.

Same people complain about the youth being fat, scary, and losers are the same people raising them to be jus that. And I thought I was the liberal lol.

But I know not to argue with a fool. You can believe what you want to believe. I'm done with this conversation.
Yeah I always use the conversation of rappers. How people act like nowdays more rappers are being killed. I always bring up that we just here about now. In the old days we wouldn't hear about some barely known rapper halfway across the country getting killed, it would only be on their local news. Every city got stories about some promising upcoming dude that died. Now with social media and message boards we hear about ALL the deaths so we think it's happening more.

Same for all crime. Crime seems much worse because we hear about all the really bad incidents that we never would've heard of just watching the local news like our parents did. So now many people think it's gotten so much worse simply because we are actually hearing about it all and ignoring the numbers.

Crazy cuz most people over 30's parents would be in trouble but I have zero sympathy for that white lady.

Just sign the paper but now I hope she loses the case

Yeah it was more dangerous but that's because folks wasn't watching they damn kids. It's safer now because parents are more careful.

This lady left her 10 year old home alone while she took the other kid to the Dr. Then her dumb ass kid left the house and walked to town. She had no idea where that little shyt was at. Then police said they would drop the charges if she signed a paper saying she would watch her kids better and the chick said "no"

This is her own fault. She ain't teach her kid to stay they ass at home and now they telling her to do better. Either teach your kids or watch your kids.

Muthafukka this ain't back in the days.
