I honestly have no idea... I just like to speak on the shyt I know and seen but I don't think Meech was in the extortion game, he was making a ton of money moving dope. I think he was using him to get ahead in the music business and networking in hopes of getting that distribution deal.
i think that is a False Accusation leveled at the BMF camp because of mistaken identity.....
this is NOT the Black Mafia that Haitian helped form in NYC back in the days....and this is not that OTHER Black Mafia led by the Muslims of the Philly mosque that was extorting and providing the "muscle" for Philadelphia International i.e (gamble and huff, billy paul, teddy p. , harold melvin)
also consider that because the powers that be in the Music Industry despised and feared an indy movement with that much money and influence in the industry.
They weren't looking for a Deal or even a joint venture from the majors, what BMF wanted was total autonomy....the Majors didn't like that...even LA Reid when he signed Jeezy was leery of them....when Jeezy spoke of how he walked in with a offical Jacob the Jeweler rose gold jewelry set matching watch and all, not long after he flew down a A&R and drove her around ATL in his porsche , that LA Reid sat him down and told him "what ever you doing STOP WHAT YOU DOING...I GOT YOU"
That type of mysterious financial empowerment scared the industry...these guys had big budget videos that never made it to MTV much less BET because of fear, which is where diddy had to come in via Meech to "walk jeezy" thru the door, cause the industry didn't wanna deal with Meech.
Just like Meech said...he got picked up ironically just a few days after Jeezy went platinum, just as he thought he made it..."they pulled him back in"..
so it is DEEPER THAN RAP
You have to realize Meech has a great relationship with virtually every boss in the game over the past 2 decades from Diddy to JPrince to Suge....
they (the jewish elite) were fully aware of the plans first forged by David Hyatt to form a black owned music DISTRIBUTION NETWORK independent of the big 4 record labels at the time......
every one who was in on that plan had the feds on they ass....
and Tupac was no different ...his "ONE NATION" album was much in the line of Larry Hoover and Big Meech's vision of getting street niccas from all areas and gang sets on one accord economically.
this plan was refrenced in Det. Poole's account in the book entitled the "LABRYNITH" detailing the background stories on the murder of pac and big and the LAPD
Meech was about empowering artists...that's why so many artists have respect and associated with him....because his movement united so many bossed up street niccas to make money together...then why not get these hoe ass rappers to do the same...but that's what happens when u deal with hoe ass mentalities.....things self destruct
"let's get somebody from BMF to talk on it!" - "DEATH OF AUTOTUNE" jay-z
particularly Jeezy..he seen how political not only the music industry was , but Atlanta at the time, where you couldn't even get a name out thier for yourself if the strip club deejays wasn't bumping your shyt....
that's the only thing Meech took credit for is taking his resources to "pay off" deejays to get his name out thier....
It was Meech that not only provided him the connections in the form of Drama and Diddy and the plethora of strip club deejays and promoters, but he also help give validation to his "trap or die bossed up lifestyle" with the jewelry and cars....
sadly Jeezy didn't hold up his end of the relationship, and it wasn't like they were forcing him, it's been like that since the time he was "leasing" cars from the BMF dealership in Orlando
pg 127...
Yogi had brought Omari up to speed on matters involving the rapper Young Jeezy. She claimed that Jeezy was behind on payments for his Lamborghini, which he'd gotten from the dealership in Orlando that secured cars such as Ferraris, Lambos and the like on a regular basis for BMF.
The owner of the shop was Eric "Swift" Whaley a 350 lb man with a heart condition that rendered him a far cry from the image that his nicknamed conjured.
Yogi was clearly getting a kick out of the situation..."Jeezy called me talking bout, "Let me tell you what that punk ass Swift did."..I said..."i know-he took your car".
"Yep ...he (Jeezy) running around here telling everybody Swift didn't have his paperwork straight"- Yogi said. The car she claimed had been impounded.
"Jeezy just ain't made a muthaphuking car payment in like 5 months", Yogi continued.
"Swift told him the only way he can get it back is if he pay it all the way off...Jeezy said.."That's fukked up..No i'm gonna get the Modena (Porsche)!"
i said "Okay Hollywood" - Yogi
"I ain't never heard no shyt like that" - Omari
"Isn't it crazy? N1ggas be frontin one way and s1t...mmmm, mmm rappers -Yogi

so how in the world could BMF benifit from extorting a "rapper" when his deal is based on credit and advances and he struggled to make payments on a luxury car???
