I forgot but BD was pissed off by something he said.

I think it was something along the lines of him going to the second round while still playing against the Hornets.

McGrady just had a lot of bad luck

In 2005 they added a third division to each conference, and that's why his Rockets had to face the Mavs in the 1st round, and they still pushed it to 7 games. Then in 2007 they again go 7 games versus a Jazz team who went onto the Conference Finals. In 2008 he was missing Yao for the entire series vs Utah, and his game took a big hit after that season and he was never really the same player

what you smokin fam Wiggins is nowhere near or ever be able to carry any team to a 50+ season

Someone mentioned it early and hit it right on the ball he Kobe Bryant without the mamba mentality
I’m talking about their desire for the game. Basketball wasn’t even TMacs favorite sport. It was baseball.

Paul Pierce was better than Mac. How y’all was fascinated by a dude like T Mac who took a million shots to score is beyond me. Dude took like 25 shots per game in 03.. even by today’s standards thats insane.

T Mac wasn’t clutch. Besides the 13 points shyt vs the Spurs, what big shots has he hit?
How you supposedly a superstar yet you never make it out of the first round, ever?

:trash:

T-Mac lucky his prime was 10 years before social media got outta control.

One of the smoothest games ever, but casuals, like that youtuber you posted, would be shytting on his 1st round exits when Hill or Yao were bigger injury prones than him.

A 2 time scoring champion is going to the hall of fame. Plain and simple.

Tracy had one of the prettiest games of all time

But that’s also why when niccas love boast the beauty of certain guys games over another.

I find it stupid and silly cuz your favorite players game ain’t even close to as pretty as TMacs

This is the guy the coli thinks steph curry is. Imagine if curry had a career like that, never making it out of the 1st round:picard:

TBH the criticism oif curry on this forum makes it sound like He has a similar playoff career

True, hyping players over other players just because of the style is not wise. Eventually T-Mac is a 2 time scoring champ and every 2 time (or more) scoring champion has made it to hall of fame or will make it. I can understand if some disagree with T-Mac getting in so quickly and actually sniffing a 1st ballot selection on top of that.

Basketball hall of fame might be similar to WWE hall of fame. Anyone can make it there, but if those who vote hate you, then you better have the undeniable success at playing basketball. Tim Hardaway gay comments still keeping him outside, it's stupid.

injuries and circumstances can ruin a player chances of making a deep run in the playoffs one time, maybe 2 or 3 times at worst. but all your career?!! thats just bullshyt.

T-Mac often comes out as a bytch (even now as a tv personality). he's lucky they didn't have social media, dozens of tv sport show, podcasts, and memes back then.

CHICAGO
Up 2-0 against Dallas going back to Houston for the next 2.

Up 3-1 against Detroit.

Dude had his chances :francis:

that was against team's that killed themselves to actually win a ship that year.
plus in Orlando and houston. he was wounded via roster and his own play.
with tmac nikkaz needed to not look at his ramp up. Given he was a high school black DANNY ainge slash bo jackson comparatively in PR based sports journalism. That actually was good enough to be a league's best player when healthy. Unlike DANNY ainge, or prime. Tragically tmac is more like bo Jackson than any player if you follow and know his mythos. Plus what rare athletic talent you have to be. To be a MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL pitching Phenom high school potential draftee as well. Coupled with once in a gen basketball talent. All while being related to a once in a gen bball talent. VINCE CARTER. WHERE BOTH DRAFT RIGHTS ARE ON ROSTER TO THE SAME TEAM.

with you guys it makes me think ken Griffey to bo jackson, out the time machine would not make y'all pop.

tmac is that deal.

all time...i have tmac on my best of all time list at his natural of pg. As tmac is supposed to be the re-imagining of magic before LeBron after STEVE smith and then penny.

instead tmac made his way at the two and three.
to scoring titles and the hof.
amidst injury too.

it is dope to think about actually, as the two sports athlete story usually ends with ala bo Jackson. So by now we all know what bo knows. Dual sport athletes get hurt who are tye beet pound for pound ij one individual sport. Plus the best scoring league leading young phenomenon usually get hurt. Mj was the only guy who oriognally hung them up and had an injury that originally would have deaded their whole career.

This doesn't really tell us anything though. It's just a history of all the series he lost in.

The reason he never made it out is because he had no heart. Jeff Van Gundy made that clear. Said he wasn't an alpha and had no interest in being one. When the Rockets went on that long win streak Van Gundy said Chucky fukkin Atkins was the leader of the team, not McGrady. Always made mewonder why he didn't just stay in Toronto and be his cousin's sidekick. :jbhmm:

Miss me with that he was playing better teams. Same argument when Jordan used to get swept. They play 82 games to determine the playoff seeds so if you are the 7th or 8th seed it means you earned that shyt. :yeshrug:

Nobody mentioned Doc Rivers as one of the reasons?
If the rumors are true that Tim Duncan rejected Magic offer because of Rivers not allowing his relatives on the plane...then yes that's his fault. But sounds too childish to believe that's the only reason he stayed in San Antonio.

But as a coach, he did alright. 41-41 season with Armstrong and Outlaw - that's impressive to say the least.
