I am already hating the character based on the agenda and I can’t stand Brie Larson so that doesn’t help. They are making her the strongest because she is a woman, technically Hulk and Thor are stronger and so is Wanda. In terms of strength she is not even in the realm of Thor and Hulk yet we are meant to swallow her as the strongest. I thought Feige was a comic expert so he should know this.

Woman hating nerds in here raging. Danvers ain’t even hit the screen yet and y’all hating. Relax and be patient and clutch your comics for dear life and just enjoy this shyt for what it is. I doubt she solos Thanos all by herself.

Had no interest in this thread but quoting this because it sums up my feelings and thoughts perfectly.

Spectrum and Blue Marvel could easily stand toe to toe with MCU Thanos. I agree, definitely need some Black heavy hitters in there. There's virtually none currently on either Marvel Studios or WB/DC's roster. I'm also kinda sick at looking at how the ground level Black characters have been treated(this includes T'Challa).

Yea, both Marvel and DC still struggling with their :mjpls:'ness in ways

The running narrative with A3 and A4 is that all the characters who didn't get shine/screentime in A3 will get their due in A4. So I'm very curious to see what that means for BP, Falcon, and Marvel's b*stard child Rhodey [though i've given up on him tbh].

A4 will show us how they really felt about these ground level black characters in a pre-BP world. Afterwards though, it'll be a more Wakandan friendly world from 2020 and on, but i've been advocating for Monica Rambeau to get her due for years now... a super powered god-tier black woman from new orleans? The cultural impact writes itself

Couldn't Dr. Strange have just decapitated Thanos? Like how dude arm got cut off when Dr Stranges "jumper" hole closed up...they coulda made something happen. Thanos said aim for the head so it's possible. /SPOILER]

BP isn't a damn Avenger, so I wouldn't expect a major role

Strange, GotG, Ant-Man, and Spider-man* aren't damn Avengers either lol.

So yea, we'll see what type of roles all these small/no screen time characters have in this next one, from BP, to Falcon, Rhodey.. as well as Antman, Wasp, Hawkye, Valyrkie**, etc. I don't expect a major role for BP, for other reasons. But in a post-BP world moving forward, I expect that will change dramatically... regardless of if he has an avengers card or not

*until halfway thru the movie, i guess lol
**assuming she ain't dead

Counter to most of that minus ant man since that’s an avengers 4 thing: Spider-Man and the guardians have specific emotional ties to the main team or the main villain. Tony and peter have a developed relationship that clearly weighs on Tony and the guardians need to be a focus for anything cosmic and dealing with thanos for obvious reasons. Everyone on Wakanda, including cap, got short changed any actual character stuff because that was the war part of the infinity war. There wasn’t much time for talking or development in their section.

Start with story first and foremost and don’t do anything just for the sake of doing it. And now with Okoye and M’Baku being around there’s a good chance they get more time and presence because they have emotional stakes now just like everyone else. The same emotional stakes Tony and Gamora and quill and Nebula had in the first movie

Absolutely agreed. Thor as well, though Ragnarok helped a little. Those two are nowhere close to their comic counterparts, even in the cartoons they are nerfed.

Still the last one in here who didn’t have the time to watch Infiniti War, so maybe that changed.
Wanda is the nerfed one...because this wouldnt even be a fight. No Thor, Strange, or Hulk needed. Shes punked them all out too.

Heh First it was because he isn't a damn avenger and now its something something emotional ties something hahah

Spiderman was a random stowaway by happenstance who got thrown in for the sake of just doing it [his popularity] and it worked out great for him, even tho ultimately things could've played out the same way [Thanos winning] with minor tweaks without SM.

Those wakandan characters, including cap's team easily had much potential for banter and exploratory build up in Wakanda, including strengthening the emotional ties of cap/buck with tchalla/okoye/shuri etc. but the directors wanted to give that time to the space ppl cracking jokes and talking dairy product brands [I'm half joking]. And above all, probably didnt think BP would be what he is.

Which is fine [seriously, it is], but we'll see how they allocate the time to those who didnt get it in this first go around, in A4, as I've said.

And then we'll see how drastically things change for BP and Wakanda in a post-BP mcu. That's what's really exciting for BP fans
