They want to be able to ignore the aspiring doctor, engineer, etc when he's building, then jump in after the man has made it over the hurdle, and lay claim to his success and finances without playing any part in helping him build it. But they hate being perceived as golddiggers, though. Go figure.

I agree that successful Black men are free to be with who they want, when they want, how they want. If you didn't help him get to where he is, then you have no say so over his lifestyle choices - and that includes his choice of woman.

Also, successful Black men have no problem marrying the Black women who actually did ride with them when they were trying to build something; it's always the women who played no part in a Black man's success that do the most complaining about Black men supposedly turning their backs on them.
