Kerry J. Byrne: Brees vs. Pats: Best game ever by QB?
Brees is the GOAT imo, but another story for another day. (put Brees in the Patriots team 15 years ago and he wins more rings than Brady)

I get it Brady is one of the best ever to pick up a ball, but rings don't mean shyt imo when talking about who is higher in an all time list. Eli Manning and Dan Marino? Bill Russell and Michael Jordan? etc etc :yeshrug:

I just hate it when people say "Brady is GOAT, he has 4 rings" :blessed: It pisses me off, if someone thinks Brady is GOAT no problem, but using rings as the reason is just stupid that's like saying Russell is basketball GOAT :mjlol:

Interesting stat you missed in the Drew Brees thread:

Only 4 QB's have an average passer rating above 100 in the playoffs: Rodgers, Bart Starr, Kurt Warner and Drew Brees.

Brees has the best TD:INT ratio of all of them. Also highly yds/game as well: 50 more yards/game on average than Rodgers for reference.

Sidenote: Brees had a perfect 158.3 QB rating vs Brady back in 2009.

As it stands, that's the only other time a QB has had a perfect rating against another elite QB. Brees is special when it comes to pressure/challenges.

This makes no sense. Qbs dont face eachother at all. So the fact u saying breez had a perfect rating vs another elite qb is dumb as hell. Brees hasnt seen the playoffs in over 3 years and his last playoff perfromance was trash. Rodgers has to throw 3 tds to pass him in all time td to int ratio in the playoffs. Not bad for a qb who actually plays in the playoffs every year.

Brees is an all time qb, dont get it wrong, but your reasonings here are dumb as hell aside from his td to int ratio

Now normally I'm makin threads shyttin on your favorite c00n turned QB :lolbron: but today I gotta show love to my guy, #2 on the field but #1 in the NFC South, QB Matt Ryan...your 2016 MVP

Through week 15:

Matt Ryan is #1 in QB Rating with 114.8 (minimum 100 attempts), #1 in QBR with 81.8

#2 in passing yards
T-2 in TD passes
#3 in Completion Percentage

QB of the highest scoring offense in football and NFC South leading 9-5 Atlanta Falcons

So how about the other candidates:

-Zeke Elliot? Been really good for a rookie RB, clear cut ROY but having the best OL in football has helped him tremendously
-Derek Carr. Has had a good season for the Raiders but hasn't been as good as Matt this year. Plus Matt and the Falcons came into OAK and won earlier this season and outplayed him in his building.
-Tom Brady. Suspended the first 4 games and Patriots still went 3-1. How valuable are you when your team is capable of sustained winning without you

So yes please come and pay your respects to Matthew Thomas Ryan, the 2016 NFL MVP. Please allow for the NFC South fans to come to the front of the congregation first, they can speak to the elite dominance first hand
They made u called it out. Yeah, MVP we got this. Dat way.

Always thought Ryan got too much blame in the playoffs

Dude threw for 400 yards against that great Niners D in the NFC title game and they were within 5 yards of winning and had that 4th down incomplete pass to Gonzalez who was being held

Made it seem like Ryan cost them every game

Carr and Dak have the wins to back them in the MVP argument while Matty doesn't so he would have to have the argument of dependence to win games

When I look at the dependence of Brees to win games for the Saints it's clear cut and dry because of the lack of weapons in their offense and probably the worst defense in the league:yeshrug:

Basically if Brees was the QB for ATL y'all would probably be the best team in the NFC and a legit Superbowl Contender
Bruh we are the NFC South.
