Played great man. it's all about the ball, Ricardo Allen with the INT, Jalen not giving up and going to get that ball. Brian Poole setting the tone with his physicality on Rodgers and around the ball. So proud of this defense and how many times did we tell people this defense has improved over the course of the season @XxBboyxX @Asiatic Black Hebrew

Matt...our MVP, how clutch was he. I watched the game with friends and family and when he took the ball and ran it in for the TD, how different was that from the Matt who pulled up vs. NO at home several years ago, you could see how much he wanted this shyt and I'm so proud of him 5 TDs in a game, amazing performance

And most of all, I'm so happy for the city, we ALL deserve this shyt and I'm happy for anybody who's ever repped this Falcons shyt, we in here, United #Brothership #RiseUp we taking this in Houston

Falcons QB Matt Ryan wins NFL MVP, Offensive Player of Year awards

HOUSTON -- Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was named NFL MVP at Saturday night's NFL Honors awards show, capping a career-best season in which he guided the team to its first Super Bowl appearance since 1999.

Ryan, 31, received 25 votes from a nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the league. Tom Brady of the New England Patriots finished second with 10 votes, followed by Dallas Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott and the Oakland Raiders' Derek Carr, who each received six votes.

Rodgers didn't get a vote
