Why is the salon low-key kinda dead?

Just wondering cause I'm bored

Like there's quite a few threads in here that I thought would be interesting but people hardly contribute to them (like the recent buys thread for example)- or so it feels like. Are there just not that many women on this site or is it that ye just find the topics discussed in the salon boring? Just curious.

1. They implemented the salon way too late.
2. A lot of the good female posters got ran off/exposed/gave up on this site.
3. Most women converse in pm's due to the misogyny.
4. I think some Females and Male posters formed an e-clique and chat on a diff website.

to the 2012-2014 women. You survived some crazy shyt.

Yea I get what you mean. I mean like even now there's like 3 or so threads on the front page of this forum made by men that I personally don't care to comment on either. Hoping to change this though. You don't mesh well? As in some of your viewpoints can be controversial?

What difference does that make? Aside from a few, most women here disagree cordially and have a general respect for other women posters. Whether they like you or not is irrelevant because as a woman, your viewpoint is just as important as anyone else's, regardless of how they feel about you.

I think it be dead in here because (1) sub forums on SOHH/TheColi historically don't pop off because all the major activity jumps off in the main forums, (2) this particular sub forum was set up like y'all wanted this to be a place primarily for "women's issues", which keeps dudes out - and dudes create the most content.

I lurk in here and occasionally post something...but that only tends to happen when there is something interesting on the "latest thread" on the main forum page. I never just come in the forum and look around.

^^^ This, all day. I definitely don't care whether or not someone likes me or my opinion, because what are they gonna do about it, call me out of my name? Been there, done that.

In regards to the thread question, I'm fairly busy, so I'll post for a hot second then I'll be MIA for 3-4 months at a time, but I generally post in threads that I find interesting. Hair/makeup/rate this man/etc. gets old.
