to me, the worst part about religion is how completely arrogant you have to be to 'know' that YOUR god is the one who is running shyt, who will be judging us, etc. none of you christian fools believe in the sumerian gods; you completely blow them off because you 'know' that jesus is the real god and all the ones that came before him were pretenders

Yes, I used sky-diving as an analogy to counter your bullshyt "it's unnatural" argument. I don't care if it makes you uncomfortable, or you think it angers your god. You don't have to accept it, but if you really want to help people, then at least allow them the freedom to be treated equally under the law as heterosexuals. These laws aren't requiring you to blow a gay guy, it has nothing to do with you ... so why speak out against it? Do you think that's going to give you better graces with God after you die? i think theres a difference between condoning fakkitry and just not caring about something that doesnt affect you. gay people exist, and putting some 'sacred' label on it doesnt really change anything

besides, shouldnt us puny humans leave the judgment up to god? if you have as much faith in him as you claim to, you should be content with knowing that god will punish them, and not feel like you have to waste any energy opposing it yourself

Okay, I have a few responses to this. One, procreation is not a requirement of marriage. Old or infertile couples can still marry and remarry, right? Are you saying we should keep people from marrying past the age of 40-ish? Marriage might have started that way, but that certainly isn't how it's treated today. So why not allow homosexual couples to get married in the same way that grandma can get married well past her prime?

Also, there are so many children under the care of the state, so many single parent homes ... why can't gay couple raise and take care of those children if they were deemed fit?

And besides, even if every straight couple did somehow fall off the face of the Earth, we are technologically advanced enough that we could still have babies. Just use the sperm from a male, and an egg from a female. What, do gay people stop having reproductive parts or something?

to be honest i agree with you because i think that gay marriage is a fukkin disgusting institution. i guess i just cant get worked up about it, especially because the religious context doesnt apply to me. like i said, these people exist and will continue to exist with or without the marriage label

If everyone in this nation believed in God that would not halt scientific inquiry, advancement or discovery. The Greatest jumps in technology and science for us have been during times and in places that were mostly religious.

I guess all the Islamic future doctors, scientist, computer scientist, and chemist at the University in the middle of my city are attempting to destroy all advancement for the human species... gtfoh.
