I did a search for Arabs involved in American Civil Rights 1960's and got.......nothing.

Maybe you can do better.

The levels some of you Muslims go to shoo in Islam with Africa is a joke. Muslims are not supposed to enslave other Muslims yet Bilal was STILL a slave until he was freed by Abu Bakr after Muhammad died. He couldn't even free Bilal.

Islam spread by the sword on the African continent (although not every country) just like it did in Arabia when Muhammad went to the land of the pagans and demanded they get into a treaty with him because he has brought a new religion.

They told him to go pound sand and then he declared war on them.

Islam was not spread by the sword in West Africa.

:gucci:

There were large Muslim slaves from West Africa that were shipped to USA. Technically is where the dancing in the black churches stem from. If anything, you can argue you lost your heritage abandoning Islam.

Islam reached west Africa through trade and not war.

The dark skinned North Africans were Bedouins who found Islam easier to adopt to their lifestyle over the conquering Christians.

I mean, dude made a thread on Arabs and y’all turn into bash Islam thread?

Crazy to think they were slaves TWICE :wow:

They gotta be the “REAL JEWS” :banderas:

How do we rid ourselves of Arabic culture religion and presence in Black areas??
All this bickering doesn't help if we don't have a plan for the future to get them out.

The real question isn't how but more so do we as Black people/Africans want to get rid of Arabic culture, religion and presence in Black areas?

I believe Black people are and always have been a spritual group but part of our downfall was to accept religions from other groups, especially those groups who are anti-black.

Are condition of submissiveness started with belonging to those religions and it's now ingrained into us to not sway from it to the point where it's become the norm. It's the norm for us to be christian, it's the name for us to practice islam, it's the norm for us to bow down to and pray to Gods that don't represent or look like us.

Again... the real question is do we as a people want to stop this or have we just accepted are current situation?

Around 85% - 95% of Africans in Africa are either Christian, Muslim or Jewish (a small percentage) and to know this is one of the most saddest things

It’s not that simple as saying we accept other peoples culture, Abrahamic religion have roots in Africa and wouldn’t be what they are today without African influences. Also Arab isn’t a race, it’s like bein hispanic, there are black Arabs. Moors were black african Arabs. these racial classification didn’t exist in the past. There wasn’t even a concept of blackness before the USA.

Being American isn't a race but we all know who sits at the top of that hierachy. White Americans at the top and Black Americans at the bottom.

The same thing happens within Islam. We're all one brother who follow Allah but why are the White Arabs at the top of the islamic hieracy followed by South Asians and then last.. Black Africans?? Why are Black africans converting their names to Arabic whilst the Arabs don't convert their names to African?

Black Africans have a rich and vast history but where is 'Allah' in this? Where is the reference to Islam in African history that pre-dates Arabs migrating to Africa?

Here's another thought. If Ethopians (and East Africans) are the oldest group on this planet why do the majority of them worship a religion from a group of people that came after them?? Shouldn't the Arabs and everyone else be worshipping the religions, culture and customs that came from the Ethopians??

You make valid points but always remember Arabic is an Afro-Asatic language, there is no Arab without Africa and African influences, there is no Abrahamic religion without so also, remember Israel became a nation in Egypt.

Saying that you are right about the racial heirachy in Islam.

I’m saying Africans played a part in the formation and creation of the abrahamic religions and the Arab identity. Those are things that couldn’t exist without Africa. The Middle East was basically Africa until Rome came and crushed the buildings. Some of the greatest Arabs were actually African men. It’s something that can’t be separated. Plus Islam, Christianity and Judaism all have been in Africa since its beginnings.
