I said before that I wished the movie would have been based on Azie's book, it would have been way better than Paid in Full.

As for the reason Alpo gave for killing Rich....I don't know what to believe. I've read several posts from people who supposedly grew up around them and while they say don't like Alpo for obvious reasons, they've said Rich wasn't completely innocent and that he had the money to pay for his kidnapped brother when they demanded it.

Regardless, Alpo will always be hated for the mere fact that he snitched.

Bro this is killing me and I know it's an old pos t, but ain't no way rich didn't have the money for his brother. We're talking coke in the 80s and he had BRICKS. I read fritz gave him some bricks to help him out with it too. This dude had to have the money bro. He got killed like a month after the kidnapping. Coke in the 80s NYC? People gotta stop speculating off what they read and see on YouTube and sh*t. Truth of the matter is, Rich reached out to a lot of people for help when Donnell got snatched. A few heavyweights tried to look out for him. Even when the ransom got lowered to 350, Rich didn't have anything of value, but a bunch of weight. They were asking for cash. And there was no way that he could move what he had in time to get the money. They killed Donnell within weeks because they started getting shook. Rich was dead himself shortly after.

People forget these guys were kids pretty much. So they were spending way too much trying to portray the image.

Street level drug dealers can look richer than basic working men as they need to blow all the cash they have in the shoe boxes. Whereas the working man owns his house, pays his bills and puts money in the pension. The fruits come in 30 years when his mortgage is paid off and he's set for retirement while the ex dealer is in jail or a burned out bum.
