I said before that I wished the movie would have been based on Azie's book, it would have been way better than Paid in Full.

As for the reason Alpo gave for killing Rich....I don't know what to believe. I've read several posts from people who supposedly grew up around them and while they say don't like Alpo for obvious reasons, they've said Rich wasn't completely innocent and that he had the money to pay for his kidnapped brother when they demanded it.

Regardless, Alpo will always be hated for the mere fact that he snitched.

I don't see how the length of friendship plays into this. You don't do snake shyt to your friends, period. I don't care if it's my friend from 1 month ago, or my friend from 25 years ago, killing them over work is snake shyt. No way around it.

I just never understood the whole "If y'all didn't grow up together, it's okay to snake your man" type mentality. You can always find a reason to do some foul shyt, using that justification.

"Yeah we grew up together, but we ain't that close" "Yeah, he's my best friend, but he ain't my brother. Ain't like we got the same parents" etc... You can do that all day to excuse shytty behavior.

As far as Rich overcharging, that is literally only Alpo's side, and why would I believe Alpo who is notorious for saying anything that would get him out of a jam? I'm not saying it's not possible, I have no clue. But I'm not just taking Alpo's word for it like it's the gospel. Sounds like some shyt he concocted to make himself look better.

But even if that WAS the case... why is he wrong, much less justification for killing him? If Rich is the one getting them, he can charge whoever whatever he wants - if the price is too high, then go elsewhere. It's not like Rich had a monopoly on bricks. Was he supposed to go get them through HIS connect, and then be expected to give them for Alpo at the same price he got them for? That's not a plug, that's charity. That's the part of his story that never made any sense to me, it's just not based in logic. Like you said, it sounds like some weak ass excuse he made up after the fact trying to justify it.

They weren't even close to the biggest dealers at the time or anything. There were crews in Brooklyn during that era that was making way more bread. I won't even get into Queens. I think it's really because of their flashiness that got them so much attention, plus being from Harlem and young. It kinda all plays together to make the story bigger than it was.

Also Rich's brother being kidnapped, was a part of this as well. Which was a big deal.

Facts. Harlem always, and still does, has that "cache". It's known for the glitz and fly shyt. That's why their story is glamorized, even though they weren't the biggest hustlers, killers, or anything in the city around that time.

You missing a key piece from alpo alleged story

so short break down

Alpo was getting good bricks from a Spanish guy

Spanish guy falls off

Alpo goes to rich and ask him to get bricks from his connect and they spit the cost and the bricks. The cost is more and the product is worse

Alpo runs into his original Spanish connect and ask him when he’s gonna get back on his feet with the good bricks

Spanish guy tell him he been back on and he been giving rich the bricks to spit with alpo

but rich was still telling alpo it was the same price as the other bricks they was getting. So he was over charging him 1000s pre key on bricks they was suppose to be spitting, rich had just ran into the connect first

so pretty much he was being over charged 1000s from bricks from his own connect and rich was acting like it was from the other connect that was charging more for worse product.

now this story is probably lies and the only person who can refute it is dead(rich) and other guys around them said it probably lies(Lou and Az)


Now if the story is true I can see why he killed him, but I just don’t believe the story

This i was watching a documentary about him and they didnt trust him in dc because his shady ways...he would kill a connect if he owed him money so he didnt have to pay up is what they said
