Moronic motherfukka, $2mil is nothing in the NBA. Over 90 percent of players make more than that, dumbass.
If you want a straight up comparison here's one: The Premier League is the richest soccer league in the world and has about the same number of players as the NBA overall (around 450). But NBA players still crush them salary-wise, despite having a salary cap (the EPL doesn't have one). The gap is about to widen with the NBA salary cap increasing dramatically this year and next year.
Mike Conley, who's never been an All-Star, just signed a 5-year, $153 million contract.
Wayne Rooney is the highest-paid player in England and he's nowhere near that ($13m per year).
:camby:
You're still taking? :dahell:

I said it's on par. Have you ever heard of that word? Soccer reports post tax salaries. NBA posts pre tax salary. So if Ronaldo "makes" 15 a year and LeBron "makes" 30, you really think there's a 15 million $ salary difference.

fukkin roaches. :pachaha:

On par? The average NBA salary is $5,883,681 and it's going up drastically next year when the salary cap increases 34 percent compared to this year.
The average wage for a Premier League player is £44,000 a week ($2.8m a year).... REVEALED: The average Premier League salary will knock your socks off | SportsJOE.ie
That's not on par, it's a fukking gulf.:heh:
Messi and Ronaldo are clearly outliers compared to other soccer players, but keep flaunting your idiocy.
See the graphic above, dumbass.
Those figures are before taxes too, except for Messi and Ronaldo... and your tax argument falls flat too
England

Top league: Premier League
Example salary: £200,000-a-week
Top rate tax: 45%
Salary after tax: £106,206-a-week

How much do the world's best footballers get taxed on their salaries?

Nba players are making loads of cash but there's only like 400 of them. Your average footballer makes more than your average basketball player.

Top Football players usually get huge multi million signing on fees when they sign new contracts as well

Yeah but if you take into account all the pros from other leagues more football players are getting payed more on average than basketball players. Outside the nba they aren't really getting payed that much.

Top nba players do make more though.

The NBA median salary (non-stars) is actually higher than the Premier League's average salary... That's how big the gap is. Matthew Dellavedova almost makes as much as Gareth Bale now
EPL players should be making more money, especially since they have no salary cap (it's the owners who reap most of the benefits).
But the Premier League is by far the richest soccer league in the world. Other European leagues are way behind.
In fact, salaries from England's lower league (the Championship) are comparable to what non-stars make in Spain and Italy.
That's the main reason why English players don't go abroad. A bench player in the PL makes as much or more than the average starters in Europe.

I know nba players make more, I'm saying players outside the nba don't make nearly as much as your average foootball player who plays outside of England, therefore it's easier to make money in football because you don't need to be in the elite league to do it.

The money is actually pretty good in China (where NBA flops go make millions)
