I get that, but they have been beating the Penn State's and Ohio State's of the world currently, honestly Georgia last year and the year prior is what Michigan would look like with SEC talent.
:what::what::what:Breh a MAC team would look good if they had top-tier SEC/UGA-level talent...

Michigan has more talent than just about every team in the SEC save for Bama, UGA and maaaaybe LSU, they have an NFL O-Line every year too. Anyone crying about michigan or OSU not having talent is only comparing them to the 1-2 other teams that are perma-title contenders (UGA/Bama on most years), they are far more talented than any other B1G team, including PSU. Also, MI has been the best in CFB at actually developing talent the last 4-5 years.

& and I all this as a vehement scUM hater, and MSU supporter...what they've done the last 3 seasons has been extremely impressive.

Oh I know that Michigan has more talent than 95-97% of teams in the country, I was just saying that there's levels to it, especially since they're competing with the Bama/UGA tier of teams for title. In the Big10, it's them and OSU and Penn State.

Next year will be interesting when WSH/ORE/USC/UCLA all come in and we see how everybody adjusts to each other.

It'll be interesting but in terms of talent on paper it'll still be:

1. OSU
2. Mich
3. USC/PSU
4. PSU/USC
5. Oregon
6. The rest... (UW, Wisky, MSU, Iowa, UCLA, etc. aren't recruiting like the teams listed above)

I’m pretty sure you don’t know shyt about college football so let me help you. Ohio States run game is worse than it was a year ago on a per play bases, they averaged 3 ypc against Maryland who has a trash dline. So that means they are going to have to throw the ball against Michigan. Problem is they are starting a transfer tackle from San Diego state that legitimately might be one of the worse tackles in the big ten east, so they are seeing far more pressures than ever before. Against an all world defensive line in Michigan that is going yo be bad news. There is a reason Ohio states offense looked pedestrian vs Notre Dame and you’ll see the same against Penn State this weekend who probably have the best unit in the country.

Ohio States defense is good but nothing special. Maryland and Notre Dame moved the ball at will. I don’t know where you are getting the idea their defense has made a leap based on visible evidence. Especially with Michigan being significantly better than an already elite unit last year.

Lastly, Ohio Statss inability to beat Michigan has coincided with adopting an NFL scheme in defense that forced college QB’s to maintain perfection between the 20’s and sustain drives. Urban Meyer as a coach preached you have to have explosives in the college game because you can’t expect college QB’s to drive the length of the field with mistakes. Especially in the red zone where the margin for error is smaller. Michigan has forced Ohio State to kick field goals the last 2 years by limiting explosives and that’s been the difference.

They are still a finesse basketball on grass team and I don’t see any reason why it would be successful against a loaded Michigan team in cold late November Ann Arbor than it’s been the last 2 years.

JJ is special. Corum is special(2nd RB taken according to Mel Kiper). The 3 NFL interior lineman are special. Colston Lovrland is probably going to be a 1st or early 2nd round when he is draft eligible. I don’t even really know how to respond to this idiocy :skip:

Solid info

Yeah I agree with that (sometimes USC can get on that OSU tier) and honestly Oregon should be on the Michigan tier, they always seem to have the talent and recruiting to be a big dog, but they always get in their own way and shyt.

I lowkey forgot this isn't the college football thread :dead:

Wait you think JJ Mccarthy is special? :mjlol:

You obviously are missing my point here. "Our interior lineman are special".... What are we doing here?

Ive also forgotten more than you know about college football, so I'm not even wasting my time addressing that nonsense. I used to bet college football heavy and came out in the black every year. :heh:

When y'all lose this year I'll be sure to come back and find out so we can talk about it

Makes no sense considering it’s easier then ever to pass the ball with the rules the way they are

High paid QB with no weapons not looking that great? :ohhh:

maybe make the RB position valuable again and reign in these ridiculous QB salaries.
Y'all keep saying this shyt as if it has anything to do with QB salaries and everything to do with longevity. The two have nothing to do with each other.

It's just nostalgia porn longing for a time when football was boring as fukk offensively. Just watch old recordings if you want to see that shyt, thankfully football will never regress back to that point.

USC hasn't been at OSU's level since the 2006 Rose Bowl. With the right coach, SC can be a top 1-3 program in the country, tho, I'm just not seeing Riley as that guy...too little emphasis on Defense.

Despite MI being down for about a decade and orgeon being a premier program during that time, MI has about 2x more current NFL players than oregon. Oregon has always been more of a specialty-flash team and that doesn't usually translate to NFL talent.
