Why doesn't nobody never put Mase in their top 20 when making rappers list

Nah.

T-Mac was one of the best during his era and D Rose was an MVP. Mase ain't never been the best anything in Hip Hop, during the 18-months he was active. Like someone said, he was basically Puff's sidekick who was thrown on popular records. That's not gonna get you thrown on any Top 20 lists. Bro did no work.
Mase debut album sold 6 million 1997 was his year

The performance in the OP is better than what these current niggs are giving. He still fresh, slick and smooth wit it. Not looking stuff and washed.

Cause one realizes that there’s a lot of great rappers when you start doing top 50-100 lists.

Like when you see a Gza, Big L, or Bun B at like #49 one can understand why.

Then when you start including new rappers it becomes a headache

MC Hammer's Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em sold over 10,000,000 '90-'91.

Ain't nobody throwing Hammer on no damn Top-nothing rapper lists. Sales ain't getting you on no lists. Ask Nelly.
Mase could actually spit and talk it through. Effortlessly at a very high level.

He can rap. I liked a lot of his verses back in the day.

But saying he's in the Top 20 MC's of all-time? Nah, it's not even close.

We got 50 years of rappers dropping phenomenal classics and bars. The dude with the 18-month run ain't scratching the surface. There's way too many dudes and chicks who put in that work and left a strong legacy behind.

Short run. Then X, Jay, Pun & nem took over.

Plus the glossy shyt may have gotten over commerically but obviously not the heads.

The only songs I revisit on Harlem World, and that's considered his lone good album
