I just never understood this notion that he was an all time talent..

Surprised you didn't get bombarded with those Children of the Corn tracks for saying this, there's this narrative that he would've been top 10 if he never went commercial.

Wouldn't say I've heard them all but I've heard Murda

Pretty much all the people he's influenced have surpassed him

Ma$e's influence on hip hop is greater than his actual career. He inspired plenty of rappers and plenty used his flow. If you're a millennial he came out in very formative years.

Again his actual career just wasn't long enough. He doesn't have the body of work to be a top rapper.

Influence doesn't really hold water. How many people did Kool G rap "influence" he's never on any list.

Nikkas in this thread trolling like crazy :wtf:

Without mase, there wouldn’t be Kanye, drake, curren$y, 50, fab, big Sean, etc

Definitely influential and impactful, if it was based off that alone, he's Top 15-20.

I'd agree that Mase is top 20 but it's his fault for not expanding his catalog during his peak years. He left way too early and by the time he came back the game passed him. Had he stayed, put out some quality projects, we'd be here seeing him in a different light.

Cause Mase is a fukking clown that's why. Plus he don't have the skills or talent to be in top 20

everybody was clowning on Mase back in 00s. Went from Murda Mase to Pastor Mase to then back to Murda again.....fukk Mase :mjlol:
