He's in my top something, just from childhood, like 1997-1999 Mase was my favorite rapper. Had the jersey and shyt to try and look like him.

Harlem World is fire to me, it's a relic of it's time but it holds up. Part of that is nostalgia for sure, I bought this album with like quarters and single dollar bills.

Top 10 all-time talent but left the game far before his prime.

Think of him as the T Mac or better yet D Rose of rap. Greatness but short lived.

Nah.

T-Mac was one of the best during his era and D Rose was an MVP. Mase ain't never been the best anything in Hip Hop, during the 18-months he was active. Like someone said, he was basically Puff's sidekick who was thrown on popular records. That's not gonna get you thrown on any Top 20 lists. Bro did no work.

For whatever reason, Harlem World has become mad overrated the last few years. it's 3.5 mics on it's best day

MFers want to call every album that's 25 years old+ a "classic" :smh:

True.

I think because most of these people didn't hear it in real-time. It was always just a cool album. Definitely not on the level of other sh*t that was dropping back then. Not even close. Sh*t only had like 5-6 good joints on it.
