1. I might regret asking, but what leads you to believe that this is the MOST peaceful time in human history? I see alot of war, therefore, it is not peaceful.
2. I consider different things as to why its getting worse. The pathetic condition of Africa. The pathetic condition of blacks in America. The wealth inequality here in America. Slavery going on across the world in places such as India and China among other things. The most significant is that the leaders of our would are selling us out to be slaves.

I'll tell you why, because I can Google it for starters and a few articles agree with his statement. It's something I've heard though to definitively believe it I would need to see research from historians. Off the top of my head I can't think of any time prior to modern times that have been better. Sure some parts of the world are worse off at this moment in time but generally I think the world must surely be getting better.
So if you've made an alternative statement with such assurances I'd like to hear _something_ and then if I go and find out that you're right I will alter what I know to be true. So give me something to start with buddy. Name some period in recorded history where the world was better off.

I just wanted something that could display how we could come to this conclusion. I didnt really get much to go off.
But for instance in America, it was better for the population in the 60's then it is today. Economy wise at least.

The 60s I would have classed as modern times. I thought you'd stretch to an era. Roman times, Middle Ages etc.

I simply asked what led him to this conclusion that this was the most peaceful time in history. It doesnt matter if I feel he was wrong or not till he (or you) answers.
I simply said the world is getting worse off. In the 60s you could step out, get a job, and provide for your family comfortably. That is getting harder and harder to do. And thats without mentioning the imperialism that seems to be going on in this world.

Antagonizing? I've asked people to explain their arguments. Heres what happened:
1. No mayo states something about studies. I ask him to link to the study and he gets mad, whines, and storms out the thread
2. intelectual says that God doesnt exist, I ask for support for this claim (not even proof just support) and he has nothing.
