Because they know the truth, but are being rebellious towards it. It's not a coincidence they keep going at the Bible. Life will show them otherwise when they start feeling dead inside from their spiritual neglect and start turning to alternative spiritual practices like the New Age and Yoga and start meeting "spirit guides". When they find out who those "spirit guides" really are, we'll see if they turn to evolutionary science to save them.

The Bible was written by common man. The Bible was not written by a "God". Everything you've read in that book is based of human opinion and not some bigger spiritual being. If "God" wrote the Bible, maybe you would have a point. However, "God" did not write the scripture. Man wrote the scripture. All you're doing is believing a mans word when you read that book. Sounds really spiritual to me

The bible was penned by 40 different men over thousands of years who were under the influence of the Holy Spirit. It not like there isn't prophecy written that you all have yet to debunked. It's not like Sodom and Gomorrah isn't littered with brimstone and sulphur or the letter written to the Persian King Cyrus from God before he was even born. Or the coming of the Messiah which is what the whole New Testament is about. I mean, the God of the Bible is so bold, He says things like "If you want to find him then search for him with all your heart." If you all want to know about His existence why don't you do what he says and find out?

What is the holy spirit, and how do you know people were "under the influence" of it? What exactly does that mean?
What prophecies are you talking about? Sodom and Gomorrah? We don't even know if those were ACTUAL cities, let alone if they were destroyed by a god. Also, the Jews disagree with you on Christ being the messiah.
Maybe non-believers ask about god because we want to know what convinced you that these stories are true. A theist created this thread, btw.
