You couldn't be more right with this...especially the bolded. The social/politically conscious element of hip-hop is completely gone.
sorry to bring this up again but being this is a serious thread can you repeat once more for all of us this is the truth? But anyway its real funny how every single one of these culture vultures gets caught at some point being racist. Like how its an open secret in the industry Katy perry says ****** when wasted oftenNope
I got no reason to lie
Your right about this. But without being sexist we cannot excuse our women in the community either. Alot of you may not know this...I can tell from it not being discussed in the multiple Bieber racist tapes thread....but did you know K. Michelle wrote a love song about Justin Bieber prior to this news coming out? Lets be honest with ourselves now...if the happened with Miley instead of Bieber and you heard something like chris Brown writing a love song about her we know what would be said. We need to be consistent with criticism. With that being said industry heads know criticism like this will be diacussed by people like us on the coli. This is why I think the next white female rapper they will push a story of her being a climate that isnt whitewashed so we have more new blacks defending her...like for example how Eminem was around Black folks in Detroit...they do something like Push she is from AkronThisis why some black men embarass the f*ck outta me.
They think with their dikks too much. And are willing to be denigrated, sell their souls and the dignity of their people for white p*ssy.
white bytches love this bytch
you nikkas literally buy (not download...but buy) no music...and then have the audacity to question why the music is being hi-jacked
short answer:
long answer: because white people and black women are driving the music industry (because they actually PAY for music) and they dont care what somebody looks like or what color they are........they only care that the music is good....
I bought Animal Ambition
yea....YOU DID. but how many other people did?
better question: how many other albums have you bought recently?

I don't really hear it when people say Drake tries to sound like he's from the South. He largely raps the way he talks although some of the slang is bitten. Plus Drake does have Southern lineage.
Izzy sounds like a caricature of a black Southern woman. She lays it on THICK. It's unbearably corny. She sounds like she's trying to imitate TI/Wayne and it's horrible.
He grew up in Canada, not Tennessee. There's no equivocation between the two accents. The difference between a Southern and Canadian accent is blatant and obvious to the extent that the former can't be hidden by the latter. When Drake isn't doing interviews with hip hop people, he reverts to his normal Canadian accent, which has no Southern inflection. If he had a true Southern accent there would be traces of it. Also, Drake's entire life was spent in Canada.
