This.

Watch this video and then tell me Drake doesn't sound like a "whitewashed" black kid.

Suburban kids trying to take over hip-hop :snoop:.

It sounds weird as hell when a suburban black person says 'nikka'.

:snoop: @ 1:18

Do blacks from Canada say nikka as often as american ones?

Drake is not really a "black person" from Canada as he was raised by white parents while black people in Canada are raised by black parents of differing cultures. It's not the same thing though he might have absorbed some of the immigrant music culture scene. Still, it's not the Southern bit he goes on about at all.

Eminem is a legend in the game at this point though...I wouldn't disagree with that.

And he's definitely ten times more hip-hop than Iggy or Wacklemore.
not you too bruh :beli: it isnt wrong to admit eminem's skills...but it is contradicting to say he is hip hop if we are trying to call out culture vultures. No matter how much em was a part of our childhood. Out of the 15,000 members on here I am the first to mention this...I guarantee you...white rapper superteams....we all know of the death rows...rocafellas....young money....ruff ryders...gunit....can you imagine the day when there is hip hop groups of only white rappers and they are big in the street like dipset was? Or not even the street but like a hipster crew full of macklemores... :wow:

I don't know fam. During that whole Moulin Rouge era she was acting ignorant trying to sound hood. It made me sick truthfully. I remember an interview with her & Lil Kim & she had a dog named fuker & was acting ignorant.

Even if that's true she created that image dating Treach (and other Black artists) & acting ignorant. She could've sang R&B & acted like Robin Thicke but it seems she went out of her way to act a certain way at first.

What does that have to do with black people? :wtf: :dahell:

Pink always had a butch tom boy 'bad ass' don't-give-a-fukk attitude. That has absolutely nothing to do with black folks or R&B music.

People naturally lose their accents when they sing. Deliberately changing your accent into an entirely different dialect is completely different.
