Why Does Hip Hop Accept White Rappers While Country Music Doesn't Accept Any Black Singers?

Name another 1.

Plenty of Black singers have made country albums.

Bobby Womack has a country album. There's actually alot in the older style of Country music.

R. Kelly said he was writing a country album.

There's a new girl named Mickey Guyton. She's got arguably the biggest hit of any black country artist.

TI is on a song with a country singer right now.

Cowboy Troy, Charley Pride, and Darius Rucker just to name a few :francis:
lol, I was gonna type this.... but i didn't want to interrupt the point being made.

NTM black people have help to create and develop country music since the 1920's...

If we aren't in it now then it's our choice.. plus the fan base doesn't really want to see black faces anyway.

Desire to imitate the worst things about White people brehs.

"Why can't we do country music too?"

"Why can't we be racist in our own genre too?"

What's next, complaining about not being able to get skin cancer?

Allow white people to pressure you into taking the high road all the damn time, while you're still getting taken advantage of brehs.

White people will allow you to entertain them, so the reasoning is more so that black people aren't interested in country music. White people on the other hand, their favorite rapper is Eminem because he's white and they're going to support their own.

Take jazz music, there's quite a few white jazz music fans although all the great jazz artists are black(Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk etc.). So again, white people have no problem with you entertaining them. On the other hand, black people, and even a lot of white people on the west coast etc. can't stomach country music. So you're left with a very southern white pocket who runs country music.

But keep in mind also, that no matter what the genre, white's will support their own. Remember the jazz example I just gave? Well you ever heard of somebody named Kenny G? He's gotten rich making watered down, elevator music jazz and whites eat that shyt up.

Album sales man nada when it comes to Jazz. Coltrane albums were barely pushing 50,000 units but your average kid in Jazz band knows more about Giant Steps compared to Breathless.

Nelly is accepted by the Country music community. Their artists collaborate with him and he's even performed and even gotten CMA and CMT nominations.

That's not really the point, because even if you say Coltrane is more appreciated, whites can still make millions making music you yourself downplayed in the genre. So what does it say that the black albums with better music don't sell like the watered down white crap, but you could argue your average jazz kid knows more about the black albums?

That album sales at the end of the day do not matter. You're essentially stating my major talking point that just because a piece of music sales the most does not mean it's of higher value, especially to those who perform and create music.

The Velvet Underground with their debut album is an example within white music that proves just that, even more.

Case in point.

:dwillhuh:

What kind of fukked-up morality you running with where you think "pressure from white people" is the only reason to take the high road?

If a White dude can rap and he makes an album worth listening to, buy it if you want to. If his album sucks, don't.

The fact that there's only a few Black dudes interested in making country music plays no part in it at all.

Anyway, from reading this thread, it seems that there's exactly one Black dude singing country who is popular among White people. Since there's only one White dude rapping who is popular with Black people (even though 50,000,000 of them be trying:russ:), it sounds like we're pretty even.

On the other hand, black people, and even a lot of white people on the west coast etc. can't stomach country music. So you're left with a very southern white pocket who runs country music.

So Black people can't even stomach country music, but we should expect a bunch of popular Black country music stars, just because?

This goes back to what I said - why the fukk are Black people complaining about not being part of the worst shyt White culture has to offer?

Shut the fukk up calling Kenny G "jazz". That's some "easy listening" shyt or elevator music or whatever, but it ain't fukking jazz.

I think it's because Country Music is highly exclusive. If you're not about that country life, they won't accept you. They really don't try to appease to the masses either. They're damn near identical to hip-hop...the old hip-hop, except country music will never appear as cool to the media to rape.
