Kanye has gotten over doing the same thing that other artists have caught hate for. Kanye was the first producer to use the term ghost producer when he said he was ghost producing for D Dot even though he was getting credit for his work. Then he goes off and does the same thing. Kanye had a whole team of producers working with him and I've seen people dismiss Dre and other producers whole existence for doing the same thing.

Kanye has had writers, and I've seen people sit there and say "well, he never claimed to be a great" even though Kanye said he was Top 5 on "Barry Bonds", has a whole album with Jay called Watch The Throne and was on a song with Rakim, Nas, and KRS. He used production to fund a rap career and people gave him a pass on some "Well, he's a producer first", even when it was clear he wanted to be taken seriously as an MC.

Point blank, for all the crazy antics and idiotic statements Kanye's more if a genius than Drake. Not because he was a producer or made better music, but because he made "Through The Wire" for one. You won't find another song like that one. He also went against what was hot to forge his own wave. He released conscious singles at a time when Crunk and G-Unit was hot and Trap was becoming a wave. He went up against 50 and won. When we all expected another rap album from Kanye, he dropped 808's.

Has Kanye bit other artists? Most definitely, he admitted to biting Dre's drums. Has he hopped on waves? Most definitely, when T-Pain and Wayne were doing auto tune, Kanye started using it too. He admitted how Timbaland and Justin Timberlake influenced Graduation.

Last, Drake has only proven he's a genius at making hits. To be able to do that for over a decade requires a certain level of genius with or without help. I just don't think it is the same level of genius of Kanye. And yes, Drake has ridden waves and bitten as well.

But what about Drake? Who thought a child pop star would be the biggest rapper a decade plus.
