Why does Alien 3 get so much hate?

It was awful. Bad special effects even for that time. The alien design was terrible. The pacing was plodding and horrible. Worst movie out of all four

I only seen the Assembly Cut and I think the pacing is fine besides some of those religious speech scenes.
Also, the effects were pretty dull compared to Alien which was made decades earlier.
The story was in 3 is one of the best imo.
Tryna trap that Alien on a stone age planet in that Game of Thrones vault.
The Judas cac freeing the beast.
Ripley Khaleesi going after her Dragon.


Worst out of all four breh. That's a bold statement.

Movie was a fitting end to the trilogy.

Ripley doing what she had to do to make sure the company didn't get it's hands on the Alien.

Killing off boring ass Newt and campy hero Hicks made way for the best new character in the trilogy.

Pastor Dillan gave no fukks once the Alien got loose.

Using Ripley as bait to catch the Alien.

I don't see what was so bad about it minus a few crappy effects.

You act like Alien 3 is a universaly praised film. It is not. It may not be as bad as resurrection but it's so far beneath the first two, there should be no surprise that people aren't lined up to give it daps.

Resurrection would have been better without including Ripley imo. Seems like the story was trying too hard to validate why Ripley had to be in it and brought back from the dead 200 years later. The 1-7 room scene was straight.
