What you are saying is not what people are communicating or experiencing. At least here in America, people "washing" chicken will do it under running water with the express purpose of supposedly getting rid of bacteria. What you do in a farm or back woods is your thing, but we are speaking about something completely different.
That's a miscommunication. And you tryna make it's an American thing when it is a Black thing... All Black people everywhere do this BECAUSE they learned this from raising and preparing these animals. Have been doing this before we knew what bacteria was or had running tap water... Cleaning off blood and feathers, anything on the surface after defeathering. Has been part of the prep. WHITE people started the argument that we were trying to wash off bacteria. Now this narrative is taking root to make us look like we don't understand science. :yawn:

No need for more back n forth. I need the non chicken washing people to tell me if they ever killed and prepared a bird. Or there's really nothing to talk about it's theory fro practise. Argument for argument sake

Again, AGAIN, what is being discussed is not what you are talking about. What is being discussed is people taking chicken and running tap water over it in sinks, not wet brining, spreading bacteria.

Who cares what people knew about bacteria hundreds of years ago, we know about it now so that should shape our behavior. Also most people in the U.S. or other industrialized countries are not killing chickens and preparing it by hand. They are going to the supermarket and buying packs of chicken parts to consume. What you are talking about has no bearing on what is being discussed.

I'll be honest, when I'm at the crib by myself I always trim my chicken and if some got that slime on it I rinse it.

I always wash chicken anywhere else because I don't want to hear black people mouth. I be looking at them like :comeon: the entire time but it keeps the peace.

I've never in my life have washed package frozen fish, or roast, ground beef, or steaks.

You know you can designate a spot/bowl seperate from this Universal Studios Wet and Wild kitchen area y'all keep thinking folk that wash their meat/produce in, that's constantly splashing invisible but dangerous salmonella all over the kitchen area like as if it's not known about.

contaminating/spreading salmonella should not be a problem if you have MORE than one cutting board and own MORE than one bowl/container capable of handling the meat solely. Might seem like a chore to some, but kitchen/cooking success is based on due diligence, breh.​
