I just saw Black Ops 4 made 500 million in 4 days. :mindblown:

Not to mention bug infested Madden and microtransaction filled 2K. Are people really this dumb?
I got Black Ops 4 cuz its my favorite COD brand but also its a huge departure from the last game which was WWII and that was a huge departure from the COD before that which was futuristic. I buy sports every other year. This year is sports year for me.

haven't played NBA 2K since 2014, but what drastic change do you want to see
Removing microtransactions and not releasing a game filled with glitches and bugs for starters. It just seems like a low effort by them because they know people will buy it no matter what. If you're not going to improve the gameplay and graphics all that much the least you could do is release a polished game that's not pay to win. They should have to earn your money every year and not have it be guaranteed.

Call of Duty removed single player for example because they knew it would still sell no matter what. But even if you don't play single player you shouldn't be okay with them doing that because you get less bang for your buck.

I can respect this. My problem is the people that will blindly buy it every october no matter what features were gone what glitches/microtransactions it has etc.. It allows the developers to get away with complete bullshyt and face no consequences. Look what happened to battlefront. You think EA got the message there?

I get what OP is saying though with Call of Duty, NBA Live/2k, Madden, Assassin's Creed, & WWE 2k all being released with a few weeks or a month within each other. It's ridiculous to me.

microtransactions is a byproduct of game prices not going up to help compensate the ever ballooning development cost. Now the more games becoming more "Games As A Service" don't expect to see them go away anytime soon.

Filled with glitches and bugs seems like a hyperbolic statement for one and you can point to a number of games that don't have yearly releases with glitches and bugs. Usually that "not all that much improved" gameplay to you can be a much needed or wanted/requested refinement that is enough to warrant a purchase for fans of that particular franchise. And like I mentioned in a previous post, if the fans have a problem they voice their criticisms pretty loudly and the developers tend to make adjustments for the following year.

I remember talks about if Call of Duty's single player is even needed years ago because the main selling point is the online multi. Hell the story mode is usually very short anyway. I'm sure they have the have the numbers to back up their stance of removing the storymode.

Another game this site sees the jig on is Fallout 76. Even though they're 2 years removed from F4, F76 looks no different graphically from F4, and no different gameplay wise from F3. It's fine if you're gonna keep the same format but this exact gameplay has been around since 2008.
the big difference is Fallout 76 is a multiplayer game
