Why do college educated black women seemingly, immediately write off blue collar black men?

This most other kinds of chicks go after earnings potential Black women like for Black Men to have earnings proof.

Same Black women are down to work with a non Black Man though.

Basically it’s an issue of distrust, like a bad Tyler Perry movie I guess they think the Black Man is gonna go run off with a white chick or something.

To be fair, most Black men including high earning Black men aren’t receptive to their wives not working. Most still expect their wives to work and contribute financially. Look at threads on here and most brehs are against being the sole financial provider. I’m sure Brehettes would care less about the occupation if they were given the opportunity not to work and live upper class.

I think that's only the case online or with faux/bougie black women, if you really think about it from an economic standpoint you could break even or come out ahead with a blue collar/trade worker. Instead of paying for that car to get fixed, your partner does it, want home renovations, your partner can handle it. etc. Might end up saving $10k+ at random times because that blue collar man got skills that pays and saves :yeshrug:

Yes women want to work and Men do too so I don’t see a problem here.

Sistas talk all that shyt, but they still go after personality, and swag.Which are areas where bum azz dudes thrive in.They have nothing but time to work on their womanizing skills.Always available. The blue collar brotha don't have the same time & energy.I think they tend to lose their shine. If you don't use it, you lose it.He's like a crumpled up $100 bill, but most modern women don't take time to inspect. They'd rather go after the 3 shiny nickels(Bum with swag) and complain about how they have to make a dollar out of 15 cent. It's a helluva conundrum. They love the same thing they complain about. The blue collar brotha should be in more demand, but he's seen as the most bland option.Plus her girlfriends won't be impressed or find him desirable, so she can't get any validation there. They'd be more :gladbron: if she walked through the door with a King Von.Not Jeff the UPS driver.Terrible at spotting true value.

How to put things respectfully.

You know how some of you idiots shyt on education and women who think it is worth something? How you laugh at educated women who you assume talk about certain topics because they believe it impressive?

They're in pursuit of men on the same wave length as them. People with a similar outlook and approach towards life. Someone who won't try to rubbish their interests.

And I don't think it is the profession. It's a matter of odds.

It’s called Assortative mating and it’s quite normal. Statistically speaking dual college educated partners earn more money, have a higher quality of life, better health outcomes, etc. So it makes sense that college educated Black women would seek that type of arrangement.

Personally I believe Black women are more understanding than most in terms of dating down (educationally speaking). You see how these white men have gone off the rails? Or the hard right turn those Asian men are doing in South Korea and Japan? White women and Asian women have completely shut their male counterparts out in terms of marriage and dating.
No, they haven't.

What you're seeing from White men is entitlement.

As Black men, we're raised from birth with the knowledge that we don't always get what we work for. White men are getting a taste of what it is like to live life with no guarantees and they can't hack it.

They really can't walk 2 minutes in our shoes.

Number 1

They didn’t have a blue collar father in their life..raised by a single mom who themselves shytted on regular blue collar brothers

Number 2

Oprah winfrey show

Oprah show back about 25 years ago started having these dating shows about the qualifications that u looking for and all those women was strictly on some non blue collar requirement.. u know how sisters college educated ones love her

Number 3

I have seen from the late 90s to now music and television and now social media (the biggest impact) have it like if you are 45,50,60 k a year which majority of men black or white makes black women look at u like some kind of unqualified nikka..

I really see it among sisters who have a kid or two and they went on to get their degree and a good job, and now they are on some i need a dude with a certain job title,,, not realizing majority of those same women gave a broke nikka the most important thing in the world. A CHILD

But like i said in another thread wait till the silent generation and baby boomers fall off, that 25% of black women being married will drop under 20%….

Eboni K Williams types live in this tyler perry movie world today

Though not true, the reason blue collar men aren't upheld amongst black ppl is because of hip hop and the things it glorifies. Other cultures don't have to fit in to this rigid hip hop aesthetic to be seen as "cool" or whatever. You also could ask why black men look down on blue collar men and you'd come to the same conclusion.

Always remind me of the biggie line “ don’t be mad UPS is hiring”

Rappers especially on the commercial radio level influenced is huge among black folks mindset

The constant bragging about u living this spectacular lifestyle, while the blue collar man has to wake up 9-5 or 11pm-7am to work , have made young black women and even men start to put it in they mind u really isn’t shyt if u blue collar man…

Now look at all those social media pages especially black women.. not only they brag about being college educated, but they also add in their CEO, BOSS bytch, Real estate, my own hair line, my own jewelry, etc etc

LIKE U SAID HIP HOP HAS MADE IT LIKE IF U ARE HANDYMAN, ELECTRICIAN , INSURANCE AGENT OR GARBAGE MAN U ARE BROKE

Because they don’t see them as on her level. They want a man who they can brag about to their friends. For some reason, even if a dude makes great money, if he isn’t a white collar professional, they think he’s beneath them and that his career isn’t prestigious enough. It’s silly, but they’ve been brainwashed.

Because that's what American society taught them
Yup...women are going the hypergamy route.

I can't blame them too much because they were taught that...also natural for a woman to want a man who protects and provides.
