You are more likely to continue the same lifestyle in which you were raised. Most black children are not raised in 2 parent households. Marriage is just something people do in other cultures.

And women can’t get married unless men buy the ring, and propose. I’ve seen too many black couples shack up for years, have kids, and not get married. That doesn’t mean the man is a deadbeat, it just means he doesn’t want to get married. It’s happened in my own family, and I’m sure most other posters here. A lot of us have multiple people in our families with kids, and no marriage, or not married to the mother/father of their first child.
