It depends on the woman, her social circles, and how/where she grew up, but yeah a common excuse is how the men present.
A friend told me she tried to talk to her friends about it and she said they felt like they couldn't take him around their circles. She said they preferred
an educated shirt and tie office guy who made 50k to a 200k truck driver because the shirt nad tie/business casual guy presents well in her social circles.
I dont think this is always the case, some educated guys get into truck drving, and alot of truck drivers can present more polished in non blue collar environments.
