Why do college educated black women seemingly, immediately write off blue collar black men?

It depends on the woman, her social circles, and how/where she grew up, but yeah a common excuse is how the men present.

A friend told me she tried to talk to her friends about it and she said they felt like they couldn't take him around their circles. She said they preferred
an educated shirt and tie office guy who made 50k to a 200k truck driver because the shirt nad tie/business casual guy presents well in her social circles.

I dont think this is always the case, some educated guys get into truck drving, and alot of truck drivers can present more polished in non blue collar environments.

The logic and goal post shifting inspired by social media can be confusing if you try to think too deep

had a dude my wife and I knew in high school who went the merchant marine route.

lots of bread in that field. That, longshoremen, dockworkers, etc. But it can be hard to get in there. With Longshoremen, once you make your hours and get in, you gucci cause you can knock your required hours out annually usually in the first 6 months and coast or take up OT the rest of the year.

Yeah I know a recently retired Longshoreman who’s son is trying to get into the game.

Hours are based on senority so a newbie is getting short hours and busting ass while doing it.

Longshoremen is the dock work but I think that is done since the robots are coming after the old guys retire and the current contract ends.

Merchant marine on boats, starting from deckhands who make $300+ per day with room and board covered and no commute, has a huge labor shortage right now and no short term automation threat. Because of the Jones Act foreigners can't apply as well. You just gotta stay drug free which is too hard for some folks.

But Project 2025 wants to eliminate or severely modify the Jones Act but Trump wants more domestic shipbuilding the Jones Act promotes so we will see...

An Asian woman from a highly educated family can’t bring home an Asian man who works at a car wash. She might be able to bring a white plumber, but he has a skill, and Asians lower their standards for white men. Those short Mexicans who do construction aren’t pulling latinas from well off families with degrees. Y’all think every other group of men has it so much better. Do you work with white men? They complain about their wives all the time. Women usually file for divorce. Those white wives aren’t happy either.
