Everywhere I look it's a new nikka wit a new reason he's not voting. It literally takes 5 minutes of your life, it's not dangerous, and it COULD benefit you. Why not take part in it?

People spend millions upon millions of dollars on elections but somehow you nikkas think it's not worth your five minutes.

the system of voting is flawed in a way where it doesn't really give you an option for real improvement. there should be an option to say you didn't approve of any of the candidates. the fact that you don't get that simple option when you go to the polls, the "none of the above" option, limits your voice. in a land where you get your choice between 40 different brands and flavors of coffee, drink machines that offer over 100+ different combinations of sodas for your consumption, and porn websites that have a variety of styles of pornography to fit your fancy, i find it a bit odd when a truly important matter is at stake you're only presented with two options. what's more disturbing is that people chastise you for not picking rather than ask you how you feel. the one point in time where your opinion should be valued and you should have an option to vocalize yourself, people would prefer if you didn't and just went with the options they gave you. that is, unless you're talking in support of the candidates you've been provided.

that's what makes me think it's a corrupted system. it just doesn't make any sense, yet people don't care if it does. they're just focused on choosing...

No but you owe it to yourself to be informed and active in the direction your country is going.

I don't get how nikkas purposely stay ignorant and powerless:snoop:

Because I choose to not say why i'm not voting means i'm not informed about politics? :what:

please go. you know nothing about me

yeah, i'm powerless because i'm not voting :childplease:

very good point, but voting Romney? :heh:

i'ma pick the lesser of 2 evils :manny:

:youngsabo:

And it is your right to vote for Obama just like it is my right to vote for Romney/ 3rd party or not vote at all. Democrats don't like the not voting at all because it is a loss for them. :lolbron:

So much for being "open-minded"

I ain't voting for shyt. :manny:

All of these puppets look like the same candidate to me. :yeshrug:
Obama and Romney aren't the only candidates. And since there are no candidates that you like, have you written to your local officials expressing your concerns.? Have you tried to find a candidate that you think is worthy?

Maybe you should get into politics and give us the candidate we need

I didn't say it bothers me, just pointing out that you can't complain if you waived your right to participate. What do you have against people voting democrat breh?

I have a problem with Black democrats and the accusations of "Uncle Tomism", "c00ning" and other racial slurs and questioning the blackness of those who choose to vote differently.

Go vote for those you approve of and leave the rest blank. Or you could write-in a candidate.

Go protest the choices that you have. Become active in politics yourself.

The reason our vote doesn't hold much power is because we don't vote.

Truthfully, I'm not knocking anyone who votes, but Obama and Romney are the same(both backed by the same companies :heh: ), but unless this system is radically changed... than voting(unless it's small scale like city officials, governors, mayors, etc) is basically useless since these most of these guys are puppets

I'm not talking about democrats, I'm talking about black folks. We get no respect politicly because we don't vote. I don't care who you vote for, but if these politicians actually thought we would vote, then they would do more things to deserve our vote.

The only way to redesign it is to participate. YOU have to fight for and vote for people that can change it, or you have to change it yourself.

One thing for sure is, NOT participating won't change the system
