Why did spinning rims go out of style so quickly?

This. Extremely expensive and car makers really stepped it up design wise with their cars. Great example is Toyota. Putting rims on em ain’t even needed anymore. People putting their money to other things.
I will say this though, car makers raising the standard of their sound systems really killed the aftermarket sound system arena. Along with the cars being more intricate so technicians wanting more to do a set up. Thankfully my fam does IT work as he set up my sound system including a new head unit. Car shop wanted 750 no supplies included

yeah you can even buy Ford trucks now and get a lift kit directly from Ford. Rather than go to an aftermarket like previously.
And most car companies, Toyota, Honda, GMC/Chevy offer 20+ inch rims on their vehicles.

It's funny a couple months back I saw a guy in my Cousin's hood driving a Ford F-150 with spinning rims.
This shyt is one of the funniest most improper events I have ever seen in the internet damn spinner man and those spinning kids.
