Wonder if the 00s will be revered as highly as the 90s
I feel like people in their 20's revere the early 2000's as some kind of golden era. Look at all these rappers in their 20's sampling early 2000's hits. Any era where you were ten years old is going to be looked at through rose colored glasses. Also, given the fact that American society is in a long term state of decline. The 2000's were a silver age at best. But ask someone who's 24 years old and they'll talk about 2002 like people my age talk about 1992.
On the subject of the thread, all of the styles from 2003 were short lived. The fashion styles didn't last long either. The early 2000's were actually similar to the early 90's in the fact that everything was super over the top, loud and extra. Folks realized spinning rims, 6XL tall tees, a size 60 jersey from some defunct 60's ABA team and NBA patches all over jeans five sizes too big look hella dumb. The culture made an attempt to grow up by late 2003 when Jay Z and Kanye started introducing more grown styles (i.e. conservative looking designer button up shirts and all Polo everything) and that reflected in vehicles as well.
I think the spinning rims trend officially died when the low budget ones came out and dingy nikkas and amigos started throwing the cheap joints on 1992 Toyota Tercels and shyt.
